VAC Return to Lifetime Pensions Discussion

So, recently read in several spots. Liberals could call a snap election while NAFTA and other boondoggle mistakes are still fresh and not fully understood what's going on. So if that happens, and liberals are out, what do you think will happen with the PFL? Will it stand, and then the big...

Class Action Suit against NVC & "Govt has no obligation to soldiers"

I won't sell anyone on it either. This has become a tool and a game for whatever political party it suits at the time. I'm fed up with the current liberal government. I'm sure most of Western Canada is as well. I don't see them staying for another term, and I would strongly predict a PC...

    Osteoarthritis Disability Assessment

This is the hardest one to prove. My Lower Back, Compressed L4 L5, and in addtion an Xray stating OA started in 2012, and another in 2014 saying its worse, then another in 2017 stating worsening, If one doc uses a different wording it gets all messed up.

A few things, 1. you have to apply, which if you don't know about it or have a shitty case manager you will.never know 2. It depends on the amount of physical disability, and if it affects working 3. It also will adjust via mental health. 4. I forget the right way, but starts at one level and...

VAC Return to Lifetime Pensions Discussion

No I agree. I have found it best with VAC to know the math prior. Go in with a level head, and an understanding of the steps behind. Ie- Right now they won't give me a reassess even though I'm over 100% and they have me as 8% hearing loss, but in effect I'm deaf now in my right ear. Which...

    VAC in the News

That's interesting because I was told the opposite in late 2014 and early 2015 that I was not eligible for the treatment that it had to go through a DND option, and that chiro was not eligible in the CAF. I did have treatment available through VAC but was told no, DND pays it, they chose.

    DEC and CIA

Im Fighting with them now about it Im 102%, wont receive more money over 100%, Here's the weird part If you have a reassessment, and favorable, you get paid the amount for that year, So its now 365400, and my original assessment was in 2016, so two years changes, plus the one in april...

    VAC wait times

There are zero repercussions. Which is my big issue. And they won't redzone a file without showing financial distress, or medical treatment not being provided. If I have a work project, and I have 16 weeks to finish it, and I don't, I'm fired. Plain and simple. VAC is a joke. The liberal gov...

VAC Return to Lifetime Pensions Discussion

Most of us would prefer it. I think. At my age, I could probably near double that with proper investing. Or I could buy a rental property and make more per month off the rent then the 1150. $100-$500 a month for most that qualify under this won't have a major positive influence on their lives...

So, It was a bit Slow today at work. Also My "issues" make me want to be in the know, and know whats exactly expected. I redid the Spreadsheet that another member did. Thank you for that, I matched up the steps and followed them as per the infographic. Which the math does work out, I have...

VAC Return to Lifetime Pensions Discussion

There should be something other. That $130 is kind of a kick in the junk. This whole thing is, but I would be pissed off if they don't allow some kind of lump sum. That 130, won't even pay a cable bill, and I read a $46? Wtf. Just remember this come election time, educate friends and family...

    Lost- New PFL,

I think it's also due to my file in general. I wasn't getting my CIA for a good 8 months. So I emailed everyone and their dog, PM, my MP, the leprechaun, you name it

    Lost- New PFL,

Out of curiosity I called them just now, because my claims were in 2016/2017, I don't get a top up to the 365400, it's stuck where it is and won't change with  the scam in place. At 107%, stuck. Nice.

    Lost- New PFL,

I tried to follow that, that is where the math came from, I also remember seeing another fact sheet that broke it down to, the actual formula. So those that were paid out 100%, recently, are SOL? scam lol

    Lost- New PFL,

My Company also gives the option for Profit Share, so every dollar amount I put into the Plan with Sunlife, they match with the Deferred profit sharing plan, so that would be an option as well. (if we meet a certain sales quota for that quarter) So I wouldn't dump it all in at once. I would...

    Lost- New PFL,

Hi, I am trying to understand this new pension for life, To me, it kind of makes no sense. I am at 100%, multiple conditions, hearing, PTSD, Knees, Back and odd enough IT Band..... So I have received a full pay out as of 2017-07-06, So that is 12 months since, I have had some kind of...
