Yes, I will be sworn in as an Acting Sub Lieutenant. Pay grade yet to be determined, but low on my list of importance at this time. Just happy to have my desired path work out for me.
Have a great day and happy thanksgiving.

Yes, I have been given a by-pass for BMOQ. Although I was quite willing to do it in order to get in; I am extremely happy to be able to avoid doing it a second time.
Like so many others say...I got the call!
I will be sworn in on Oct 14 and then flown out to Victoria for OJT until NETPO starts up. I know that a lot of people may think that OJT could also mean being someone's SLJO; but that is just fine with me. I will even do it with a smile on my...
Thank you for those words, gcclarke. I had not even though of the IPC levels. I am just remaining grateful for this second opportunity.
Remaining pumped....
I still have to work out the details with the RC, but at the moment it appears that I will be sworn in as a commissioned officer. As far as the rank is concerned, I am not sure. I am expecting Acting Sub Lieutenant (2nd LT). If they start me at sub Lt (Lt), then bonus for me, but I am not...
Congrats OS MrJimi
Hopefully we might serve together onboard ship.
Best of luck in your future and glad that your patience and hard work has paid off.

Although I am sitting at work in between calls. I am still walking on air as I was extended an offer on Friday (at NOAB) to become an officer in our great Canadian Navy. Obviously, I accepted and am now waiting for details on how soon I can get back to sunny Victoria.

Good news! Word from those of us who posted comments on the NOAB thread all made it in; including myself. They made me an offer and I accpepted on the spot. I had a blast and can't wait to get back to Victoria and back in uniform (feels like it can't happen fast enough for me). A...
What a fantastic week. I had a great time meeting everyone. Those of us who had been posting on this tread felt like we already knew each other. If I am not mistaken, everyone of us who did post on here, received an offer.
I look forward to seeing everyone again in Victoria soon. Good luck...
Thank you for that, it helps me continue this feel good I have got going on right now. I return home on Saturday and already told the RC that I will be in first thing Monday morning with the news. They also already know that I am available to enrol immediately. In fact, nothing would make me...
And the good news keeps on coming.
I picked up my travel docs this morning from the RC for NOAB next week in Victoria and was told that I have been exempt BMOQ.
I am now vibrating like a little kid at Christmas time. Can't wait to get back in uniform. I won't really know more until after...
You are probably right. I was used to the 6 mile being closer as I was at RRMC at the time. ahhh the memories of the 6mile, 3 mile, 9 mile, 11 1/2 mile. Lot's of good pubs in the area.
