I don't think the liberals or NDP have ever cared about what Canadians want.
They Tell us what's good for us us and do what's best for their party. :rage:
Kirkhill - I belive you have it exactly right.
The opposition is horrified that the conservatives have their ducks in a row and actually understand the economy better than they do. No one is pulling the fire alarm because the big red trucks have come and gone.
The last bloody thing on earth we...
And I hope that is changed.
Electronic/computing products usually go through a teething process.
It can take years to get it right. Products in this "phase" often appear to not work at all and in cases like this, be worse than useless.
Reverberations and echos can be selectivly ignored. ...
The system tracked by sound.
That's why I brought it up.
The whole thing revealed some surprizing results.
The most important lesson is that developers usually don't need the processing power they think they do.
I keep re-learning that... :-[ And the simplest solutions are often most effective...
Years ago I had the opportunity to participate in a project, in which the product tracked a person on stage with stage lights and followed him wherever he went.
With modern digital signal processing it's possible and likely that a system could be developed without the "antenna farm" or racks...
But what does this mean?
Canadians would like the job to be finished? fine...
Canadians would like someone else to step up? arguable......
Canadians would like a return of Taliban rule? certainly not!
I think what it really means is that Canadians don't really know or care to know what's going...
As interesting as Lomborg is, I like to listen to what he says, what about Patrick Moore?
He started Greenpeace! Now he's out. (similar reasons)
Kinda' makes you think there's something political going on, doesn't it? ;)
You are wrong! I can assure you.
"Just military force" has never been what Canada has been doing and more important to point out, when one seeks to negotiate with the other side, in this case the Taliban.
We would be offering legitimacy to their movement. That is, we would be in effect be saying...
Thanks for that Leroi - looks like a handy reference.
I'm a little surprized by how long this has gone on, As trolls go this one doesn't even rate top 20.
The rhetoric is outdated and has been dealt with before.
Perhaps we haven't had enough trolls lately.... ;D
If the troll were able to...
Edward, I'm sure your opinion is correct.
The recent economic storm is ( to me ) proof.
Our finance minister says something, it's spun three different ways and poof!
The consequences are real. People make stupid decisions based on the fear created and the storm is whipped up and perpetuated. ...
My "feeling" is that a significant amount of disapproval comes from the misguided notion that GWB started the "War on Terrorism". We've completely lost track of the Fact
that war was foisted upon us by our collective enemies. In previous wars we blamed the "bad guy". Now for some perverse...
Of course! and that goes for all the other crap they trot out as criticism! :salute:
Sarah Palin rocks - and there's nothing the Dems can do about it! >:D
Until last night I feared thought the election would be an Obama coronation.
Tonight, I was telephoned by the widow of a order of Canada recipient and prominent journalist. She was vexed. She wanted me to know that Sarah Palin didn't write her own speech. She has been an Obama fan for years...
No doubt.
I generally like your idea and I have always thought that the public should have more exposure to what the military is doing - not just Afghanistan but everywhere.
The problem in general is, that our liberal sensiblities have precluded a show of militarism like that since the 60s. ...
I don't know or understand anything about all this but this strikes me as a little cynical :o
If you are correct and oil and gas are the motivators, is it safe to assume that this will be long and nasty? Will the Russian people continue in their adoration of Putin?
The earlier articles...
