Much that I admire all the work that the Dutch do when it comes to shipbuilding, I have to admit they're NOT so original when it comes to NAMING said ships. Honestly, recycling names again and again and again gets...well, BORING!
Personally, so am I. I just wish that the government would do something about getting more shipyards involved so we could get hulls into the water faster; not just the Type 26s but the AOPS, the JSS and everything else.
That's good. When I went to CFSAL in the late 1980s, there were new temp residence blocks close to the school building and that area's pretty crowded as is.
Where exactly on the base is this going up? As noted before, Borden's quite the sprawl. Is it on the south side by CFSATE, the centre part by CFLTC or the north side by CFMPA?

Given where that kingpost is - and that it seems to be a temporary setup on the flight deck of all the places on the ship! - something tells me that doing a RAS evolution will be a sort of "done by necessessity" function.
In other words, if an AOPS needs to fuel up, head to a port and do it there.
Given how much the American government is seemingly looking at the F-35 as a financial black hole with little returns, how would this enhance the chances of the F/A-18E/F to win the contest...
