    Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

Im one of those PS using their sick time more often. When we were mostly WFH I would often work anyways if ill. Im comfy at home and dont have to worry about getting anyone sick. No way in Hell im going into the office ill. This was entirely predictable.

Gets you a summer mansion in Manitoba if youre willing to travel for it haha. Some of my fondest memories are of the cottage North of Victoria Beach. We're unique though in that cottaging is still a middle class affair here. You can still get lots for 20, 30k and you can buy cottages for cheap(ish).

So what do you guys think of the allegations of espionage in Greenland?

    Canada's tanks

Great way to get an ever elusive UNSC agreement lol.

    Canada's tanks

The problem with the loss of the tank from the CA is that it also means the loss of being able to conduct combined arms offensive action against peer states. There is no combined arms attack without the tank in our doctrine. So unless we want our army to be strictly a light force, we need MBTs...

    Replacing the Subs

I personally think itll be the other way around. Naval purchase in SK to reinforce our commitment to our allies in the Pacific and land kit from Europe since reasonably thats the only place we'll be using it outside Canada.

    Replacing the Subs

We need them for our future nuclear deterrent anyways ;)

    The War in Ukraine

If a defender has ten bullets you just need to throw 11 dudes at him.

    The War in Ukraine

Thats the only place my kit can fit lol. It gets pretty tight in a TAPV with a full crew with dismounts haha. We'd be better off giving the TAPVs to the russians if we really want to hurt them.

Canadian modular assault rifle project, a C7 replacement?

Too bad the shorties dont get cans. Worth the cost in lessened ear damage to the troops alone.

Dont view it as an extra army fleet. Its separate. They probably went JTLV so our SOF is seemless with some American SOF who also use them.

Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

Kinew is one of the most gifted politicians in Canada and has a strong uniter vibe to him. He'll get it done. Hell, his party narrowly lost a byelection in Spruce Meadows by less than a hundred votes. That is insane in MB politics. Spruce Meadows is basically of Conservative as it gets in MB...

Our North - SSE Policy Update Megathread

The big takeaway is winter warfare fucking sucks. A lot of it trying to outlast the poor buggers on the other side of the line.

    Trump administration 2024-2028

A total strawman and you know it. The Canada Arts Council and the Royal Canadian Mint aren't privately traded corporations and never have been private corporations. Nor do they have any competition. Nor can the government act to prioritize them over other privste corporations to snuff competition.

    Trump administration 2024-2028

The government having a vote and stake is peak state capitalism. If the US wants to be the Peoples Republic of China Peoples Republic of America thats their business but lets not pretend its normal in a free market system. Whos to say they wont use the unlimited money supply of the government to...

As an aside, when was the last time the CAF actually expanded its footprint in Canada. Normally you hear about places closing, not often we add. CFS Kawartha Lakes has a nice ring to it.

The question we should be asking is how to attract any investors spooked about potential banana republic shit in the states.
