If there were an army high school you could teach things like tactics and strategies longer so they become like a second nature to the soldiers.Training could be more "in-debth" and there could be an even greater selection in training.
Ya a highschool version of RMC that can be used as an alternative to the 15 credits needed. I know school is important and I plan on finishing (sometime this decade I hope) but it just sucks.
I know what cadets is (most of the time a joke, no offense to anyone) and i know what the reserves are, but what I'm saying is there should be something like highschool for people that have their sights set on a career in the army but can't stand going to school.
I know many of my friends...
How about at Operation Stalwart Guardian? I heard you get to try using A LOT of different weapons (arty, mortars, M2 .50 cal etc...) form different branches of the army to become familiarized with them. Does anyone know anything about that?
I didn't know where to post this and I figured it would get the most attention here so sorry if this is the wrong board.
I was thinking the other day. Me and many of my friends have all wanted to join the army for some time now. The part that sucks is I'm going to be the only one who can join...
I haven't been to camp since 2003 and then I did C.L. and we got to use the Enfield .22s. Are you saying that they are phasing this out of the training for this year or they already have?

"never heard of the HIV scare thing....was it serious?"
Yes, a lady was arrested and charged for knowingly passing the HIV disease to some soldiers on the base with out telling them she was infected.
I was wondering what weapons I will have a chance to train with this summer while doing my Reserves' BMQ/SQ courses. Could anyone possibly list off a few?
thanks!
I just heard from my regiment (ASH of C) that pre course for BMQ/SQ is June 24-29 then BMQ/SQ training is July 4 to August 19 at Meaford and then Op. Stalwart Guradian in Petawawa is August 19-28
I'm not sure about costs and preparations but I sure that the reserves regiment ASH of C (P.L.) in (Hamilton, Ontario) is the only Canadian Reserves regiment to ever win a gold that exercises. I'm not 100% about that so you may want to check it out. I do how ever spend a lot of times at the...
Ya sorry aboot that last post. I got a pay chart with my application package and on that chart it said a Pvt. made $2,280 a month before deductions then I had some other thing that showed that amount after deductions which was aboot $1,300.
I recently applied for the army (ASHofC P.L.) and I was told that I may not make it to training this summer because the cut of date is fast approaching and there are already many people ahead of me in the process (which makes sense).
When I was in the interview the Capt. that interviewed me...
How in-depth does the military check you out? I know they do the backround check/ security check. DO they contact any of the people from your letter of refrences, or if you put down cadet experience do they check with your former CO's or anything of the sort. Thiis is all out of curriosity so...
A private makes aboot $2,280 before deductions in their first year. If they live on base after all deductions (taxes, R and Q etc..) they keep aboot $1,300.
I was reading something about a 25 mm anti material gun they are working on. I believe it's a converted m-82 but I'm not quit sure. What, if anything, have you guys heard about this?
I didn't know where to put this so I figure it would get the most attention here. Does anyone know if a photocopy of my highschool transcript is good enough or do i have to take in the original? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
I am soon joining the army and I have an important question. I live in Hamilton Ontario and I currently have 16.5 highschool credits. On the application papers I have read that you need 15 credits on I have also read that you need your grade ten. I am currently .5 credits short of my grade ten...
