    Political impacts of Ukraine war

convenient… By attempting to define “limits” though you set the bar for people like Putin to cross them. So no. Never set limits and never set costs. That’s how the killbots were defeated by Zap Brannigan. He knew what the kill bot setting was. ;)

    Political impacts of Ukraine war

Sounds a lot like Russian talking points. Is that an acceptable position or not is the real question. Geopolitically do we accept territorial grabs by force or not.

Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

The beauty of this is that it’s the Mil Factor. Not base pay. So when the PS negotiates a pay increase it will affect the base pay when that comes.

All Things AB Separatism (split fm Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???)

No. That question resulted in the Clarity Act. Exactly because it was ambiguous and done so purposefully. Keep it clear and to the point. What’s good for the goose was never good for the goose to start with.

Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

“13%!” “But really it’s just the normal cost of living increase you were going to get anyways but you’ll get it on time this time. Don’t ask for it in 2 years when the PS finally get theirs retroactively after collective bargaining.”

    Israel in the 21st Century

I think what we might also be seeing is France trying to flex a bit and test the waters in an attempt to to become the presumptive leader of the free world given the US has pulled itself from wanting to continue in that role. How many other countries follow their lead is the telling part.

And those that do sign deals may find that they will be stuck with those deals for some time. Better to take no deal than a bad deal we will never be able to get out of.

    18 Aug 2025: Poilievre/By-election in Battle River–Crowfoot (AB)

Sure. But what stops the leader of the house from letting PP or anyone else stay there? Doesn’t look like there are any restrictions.

Not quite illegally. The official opposition can decide who lives there apparently. It is supposed to be the leader of the official opposition but they can decide who can live there.
