It's hard to declare it over rated having never done it before. It was an awful lot different than what I had expected.

    What do you think?

NSCE isn't about becoming better at something. The idea is you already are. It's like the bar exam lawyers take, it doesn't make them better lawyers but they need it to practise law.

Do you wish your corps would do more with your Affiliated Unit?

One problem we had is our Cadet Corps contributed zippo to the PRes unit in terms of recruiting. They didn't pay too much attention (but provided uniform parts, access to the Armoury etc) to the Cadet Corps, but then they got a huge amount of $$$ to increase there numbers by almost 100% and all...

    Pace Sticks and Drill Canes

NCOs can carry sheathed swords. I'm not sure if it's just CWOs (thats all I have seen, and only Infantry CWOs as a matter of fact)....

    Webbing

Wow, way to take a comment grossly out of context, and then start a debate over nothing.... perhaps I should have changed the word most to many, would that appease you? Firstly a great many members of the CF, whether PRes and Reg put posts in this forum towards Cadets that are out of great...

    Webbing

No.... I am devoutly anti-webbing. I have pockets, I have a back pack. Both are much more useful. Webbing has a specific purpose, and cadets don't use it for that (nor do most member of the PRes or Regs for that matter) so I use lighter, easier to use and less bulky equipment.

    D&C BLEAKEYS

Clickers... I'm not sure how you proberly spell the name "blackey", but just the small steal pieces that go under the back of your boot... we didn't buy the front pieces.

Cadets Joining the Reserves - Can it be Both?

Cadets don't hold ranks, they're appointed to them. That's also the reason why you can't be an Scdt and a PRes at the same time, because then you would violate that QR&O in a fringe sense.

    D&C BLEAKEYS

No, it wouldn't LOL. They cost like 75 cents each, so you can always buy new ones.

Cadets Joining the Reserves - Can it be Both?

Whoever posted on the first page that being in the PRes and Cadets at the same time is a violation of the QR&Os is wrong. There are Cadets all over the country that are in the PRes, and they are NOT in violation of the code. If you could post it with proper reference I'd be glad to debate it...

    Joining Cadets as an Instructor\Volunteer

Here's the basic process - Criminal Record Check - Verification of education - Varification of past military experience - Varification of past cadet experience There can be more, depending on what you do. You may be aware the differences between an instructor and a volunteer is very great. A...

    Flag Party

To the initial questions, depending on the format your flag party is using (the one that seems to be at a majority of Army cadets events vis a vis the proper format) you should not be marking time for anything more than about 30 seconds, after forms and after the counter march. THe real dictator...

    Pace Sticks and Drill Canes

Just justification for CSMs carrying pace sticks at the CSTC was because they were running a lot of the drill oriented training as opposed to the RSM. This differs from the CF model, so we differed who carries which accruement. That said, in Vernon CSMs used to be presented drill canes.

    Army Cadet Combat Uniform

Here's the deal as far as I have heard/observed: - CADPAT is sudo-retsricted in the actual pattern. While onbiously companies have made efforts to recieve apporval to create faux CADPAT the ACL didn't want to take this direction; - Members of the CF see CADPAT as their "baby," and seem to like...
