Any remnants of any houses that existed in the 50s have now been essentially destroyed. At first they were not and they were just left abandoned, but of course over time the troops would end up going in them when on Exs and all it takes is some garbage like a used IMP being left in there and it...
Combat boots should never flake if you just apply polish and brush it off with a brush. The only time I have ever seen a finish crack/flake is when someone gets burn-shining of parade boots wrong.
Please understand that when I talk about indoor boots for a parade, I am still talking about...
Bullet Magnet,
The old me would have gone on a rant about a military GPS being different than a store-bought Garmin, and any error in the grids being because the user entered the wrong system like MGRS, etc (similar to a compass being "right" but the user having the wrong magnetic declaration...
I think that some people get confused as to what is really important.
It's not the compass that someone needs to know and then if they know that they can move on to the GPS; it's the basic fundamentals of navigation that a person needs to understand if they are to use either.
People who stick...
What needs to be done to get the Int Medal? It reads "First Int Dosier Completed", but it's not seeming to give me the medal for completing dosiers by getting the Int to capture the HVTs.
Is there something else that is supposed to happen to get it, or is it just not picking up the HVT capture?
I'm not so sure that's the real whole idea. It may be the whole theory, but even the most hard-core soldiers only spend about 1% of 1% of their time in the military actually hiding from someone and not wanting to be seen (whether in combat or on exercise). The rest of the time, they're walking...
On a different note, have you given any thought to giving people incentives if they "convince" other people to join the game by sending invites?
Most of these Facebook-type games seem to have some sort of partnership-type scheme where the more people you have sent links to who join the more of...
PC,
The thing about the ranks is that I like how you're doing it now but at some point it's going to have to be expanded because the top level guys will be in the hundreds and possibly thousands (?) after a couple years if the game allows that much.
Your system would work great for now though...
I know that on the signature badge it shows "Rank" as in "Level", but as it is a numerical "rank" that at a glance looks as if someone who just joined is "Rank: 1" = best player playing the game.
If you're going to keep it as rank means higher number = better, can we tie it to an actual Army...
Excellent point. And it would appear that not many people are taking advantage of that cycle.
If anyone else other than Mike and I are reading this, I can't stress enough how much you just keep that rotation going and the game just keeps skyrocketing.
Check out what you get for certain medals...
I had originally quelled the KAF insurgency (and ones past that), but now instead of 0% and subdued KAF is showing up again as:
Location Action
Kandahar Air Field
Insurgency level:
4294967295%
And the task bar is back up to spend 2CR to quell it again.
Tip 1: Always take missions that give you a high ratio of experience gained vs CR spent. For example, if there is a 2EG:2CR mission and a 3EG:2CR mission, of course take the one that gives you more experience for the same CR.
Tip 2: Going up a level will refill your CR metre, so try to time...
Mike, did you quel the insurgency or something to surge your power that much?
I have spent all of my CR points on quelling it and it's down to ~30% in KAF, but before I did that I did a lot of Tim's missions because the rate of CR vs experience looked favourable.
That's the only thing I can...
