Well one of the boys in my unit was promoted a year after his CT. Because he had his JLC/JNCO and was switched on,  if he were to have left before getting it he would still be a Cpl.

Well i had a friend of mine kill himself last May, the padre told me "you can take up to 14 days if you feel its needed.". And a friend of mine's father died not too long ago and he was given 3 weeks.  Plus a day here or there to accomodate the admin.

Don't forget, bieng a jumper is just a means of getting you to your objective.  The real job begins when the boots hit the ground.  And at that point it becomes a  light infantry tasking.  There are no operational jumps that end at the DZ, you still have to close with and destroy the enemy, and...
