I had the same concern as you. I brought my unopened Official Transcripts to the CFRC and the recruiter there opened it and said it would have been okay if I had opened it anyway. As long as your school(s) don't stamp "Unofficial" on the transcript itself, you will be fine.
Ok, I didn't know that you have to be a member of the CF to give advice. I was just hoping I could use my own personal experiences to give advice to other applicants.
I apologize if I offended you.
Oops.
I guess he has two options then.
How would you know if there are measures in place to prevent running out of ammunition, food, medicine and water. There are so many 'what if' scenarios that would prove you wrong.
1. Can Communicator Research Operators get an opportunity to fly in the Air Force if the served in this branch of the military?
2. When Comms Research does their BOQT, are they taught hacking?
Seize,
Option 1: Appeal. The chances of successfully appealing is slim to none. Trust me- I appealed my medical condition (Vision) and it wasn't overturned. However, I just missed the cut off for V3 vision while I was getting my second opinion. So, my vision wasn't as bad as they (CFRC)...
Thanks mariomike, I'll check these out. :)
It was worth a shot though.
It's similar to that saying "First rule of fight club, don't talk about fight club" (I hope that's how it goes).
Thanks anyway for the reply George Wallace.
I thought about starting a new thread, but upon finding this topic I thought I'd ask my question here:
I was hoping someone could tell me what it's like working for CANSOFCOM. More specifically as Support staff. What do they do in Garrison and can they go on deployment?
However, it would be...
I came across a few trades that are of interest to me and they meet my vision requirements. They also have the Land Course Training. What is the Land Course Training? What does it prepare you for and why don't all NCM (Land) trades have it?
Trades of interest: Ammunition Tech, Army...
Well, no one can really answer that question. I'll give it a try anyway.
Assuming you're applying for the Regular Force, it could probably take 6-12 months (I hope someone else on this forum can verify/agree with me). That is without any issue's with your application; issue's such as, medical...
Same with me.
I was applying for the Infantry, but they said it was okay. I was declared medically unfit for the Infantry, but that was because my vision wasn't good enough.

Hi sharki9876,
I can tell you, based on personal experience that you CAN have glasses in the reserves; however, if you are looking to get into a Reserve unit (Combat) it is unlikely that you would be accepted, not impossible because I've seen combat specialists with glasses...
I just got one more quick question(s) for you guys. I forgot to ask it before.
Am I being selfish for not wanting any other trade than Infantry/Combat Specialists?
I mean, in an earlier post I basically said "everyone should serve their country in some form or another". Is my dream too...
Man, you don't have any luck whatsoever. May I suggest obtaining a rabbits foot and keeping it in your pocket throughout your military training. :)
I showed my friend your story and he said all the injuries you've gone through so far, are basically the same one's you could encounter in the...
