Should a CT/OT be initiated before, during, or upon completion of the target trades education requirement? I am currently a reservist considering a Reg F CT/OT.

I can't speak to your first question, but my opinion for the latter is that hacking isn't something that can be taught. Any network or systems admin worth his salt has the skillset to "hack" a system. That buzzword gets thrown around a lot and can mean many things, so I suppose it depends on...

What else would remain for the Troop/Platoon Commander that isn't handled by the Troop WO/CISTM?
Also, could the WO not handle the task of interpreting higher's intent? That's probably another discussion...
A slight tangent here -
If the Troop WO/CISTM is a "Manager", what is the Troop O? Maybe it's just semantics, but I had always linked that title to the officer.
I'll be doing my PLQ this summer and was hoping the Army.ca community would have some valuable advice, tips, reading recommendations, or training topics that would be wise for a Signaller (and the other trades outside the Combat Arms) to brush up on before course.
