I don't know thier prices unfortunately but I can get you contact information for you so you can ask them all those questions. They normally have a monthly or a yearly rate. Any worthwhile martial arts club should allow you to drop in and try a class first before having to commit to anything...
I have been an avid marital artist for 18 years...I'm aging myself...and have trained with some of the worlds finest. I don't know exactly how far Petawawa is from Ottawa but I do know that if you are looking for somewhere to train, you may want to check out Therien Jiu-Jitsu. It is ran by a...
I was just speaking with someone who stated that she just finished her BMQ training and is currently making $2421/mth minus deductions. I can make it on this salary. I was just hoping it wasn't any less than that.

I think it's a little expensiive for food for one person. I have lived on my own for a good 15 years and I could eat for 2 months for that price, mind you, I don't eat alot.
As for board, $68/month is dirt cheap.
Do you know if you can opt out of rations or do you have to have it come off your...
noreaga,
I also thought once you were done BMQ that you were a private. I didn't know anything about PAT. I did know that there are different courses that you have to take within your MOC to become fully qualified or I should say "more qualified" at whatever your trade is. These courses are...
Why does one assume that just because you have small feet, that you are a young recruit?
Last I checked I was closing in on 35yrs old and I still have the same size feet I did when I entered high school........a proud size 3!
Feet size doesn't correspond with age...sorry fellows!

WOw only around $70/month. That's dirt cheap! I might be able to pay off that loan of mine faster than I thought! ;D
I also heard that you cannot cook in them, is that true? No kitchen then I suppose?

Can anyone tell me what life is like living in the shacks or barracks? I hope to be in soon and I have been told that I must live in barracks for a minimum of 6 months because I am single. I am ok with that but have a few questions as to what I should expect.
How much is deducted from your pay...
I currently have 2 bikes, a 2000 650cc custom V-star and a 750cc Honda Interceptor. The Interceptor is older and I bought it for an ex boyfriend but I got rid of the boyfriend and kept the bike. ;D

I don't know if this is the right place to post this questions so please feel free to move it if it's inthe wrong place. I am told that I have to live in barracks for a minimum of 6 months after my BMQ training because I am single. Is this correct? I don't mind, just wondering. Also, any idea on...
As for me...well I tried rock climbing and found it VERY hard! I'll stick to my hobbies for now which include motorcycling in the nicer months. Lord how i wish I could ride right now but the snow simply won't let me. :'(
I also teach boxing in my spare time and used to be an amateur boxer. I...
Just wondering if you guys think it is at all possible to get sent to BMQ for this April if I had just had everything sent off to Borden on Friday of last week?
I'm a little anxious can you tell??

I am an avid biker myself. With bikes, the nice thing is that they can go forever with little expense depending on the type of bike you buy. I would say it also depends on how much your friend is asking for it. You can buy a brand spankin new bike with 0 kms on it for under $8000.

I did my CFAT on Tuesday Feb 15th, my Interview and Medical on the 17th and I do my Fitness testing this coming Tuesday. So everything was done in one week.
What MOC did you guys choose?
My 3 choices are Supply Tech, Signal Operator and Weapons Tech.

I am in the same boat. I just finished my CFAT, medical, interview and I do my PT on tuesday of next week. I was told that once you complete everything it is then sent off to Borden and then you await a reply. I was told by the recruiting office that it may be a few weeks but likely before April...
