    Course Numbers...?

I'm on the Nov 7 BMQ in St Jean, and from what I've found from talking to others, you'll either be on serial 0226 or 0227 (There could be more, however those are the only ones I know of for certain). You should get your course number and additional information in the paperwork they give you...

    PT test question

I hate to be an armchair cynic of sorts..........but anyone attempting to be accepted for Reg Force Infantry should not be asking themselves "How long will I have to wait if I fail?" They should be asking themselves "How many pushups/situps/etc over the minimum standard am I going to achieve?"...

Quick Question in regards to BMQ Kit list

Hey guys, just a quick question, as the FAQ didn't really give me a definite answer. I am going Reg Force, doing my basic in St Jean. I've read alot of threads around here (plenty of searches done, honest  ;D ) that recommend various pieces of kit to bring along to basic that are NOT on the...

    Wait times for 031

Mike- I was given my job offer for Infantry (PPCLI, NCM) 2 days ago. I was given that job offer only 2 days after being merit listed, so if you did well in your testing you could potentially be getting a call soon. Hit me up with a PM if you do, as you could potentially be on the same course as...

I just wanted to write a thank you once again to the forum members here who are helping out all the potential FNG's around these parts, I can tell you that you were all a great help to me. My Journey Through the Recruitment Process (including LASIK info)

That is correct. After doing my exam and questionnaire, the Doctor gave me the necessary sheets that I needed to have filled. As I mentioned in my post, there is a form specific to LASIK that I was given, and you will hand this sheet in to your OPERATING SURGEON (just making that clear :p ) and...

My Journey Through the Recruitment Process (including LASIK info)

Well everyone, my application has finally been merit listed, and through this post I will fulfill an old promise I made myself. This site has been an enormous resource for me over the years, and I promised myself that once I got through the recruiting process, I would post a detailed account of...

Why does the medical take so long to come back?

I've been waiting a little over 7 weeks now for my file to come back.....then again, I had to send away two forms, including one for laser eye surgery, so I expected it to take awhile. Just be glad that you didn't have to run around to civi doctors for a minor issue or two (although admittedly...

Shakespere should have make a play on my tragedy!

I believe this to be untrue. During my medical I was told I had qualified V1, and I had told them that I had LASIK....quite frankly, V1 or V2 for combat arms makes no difference, I just thought I would clear this up.
