How is anybody going to know what soft armour or plates are inside your Canadian carrier? If I were going to Astan with the army I'd just throw in IIIa and poly plates and keep my mouth shut.

Some former eastern bloc ambassador's PSD teams use the p90 in Iraq.  I played around with one and it handled well, would be great for a driver's gun in softskins.

If I were in the turret of a G-wagon I'd be wearing DBT bicep armour and sideplates. Rated to stop 7.62x39. Have worn it while on the gun and its not unconfortable.

The guys riding dirtbikes is not just rumour, I've seen it on a FOB. The locals had the usual CD shop but they also sold new Chinese motorcylces for $600 and scooters for $300. Guys would use them to cruise around the FOB. Other notable rides included captured BMWs and a police car. ;D

I have never experienced clipping with the Comtacs. Cheaper models usually have this problem. I run comms with mine and they don't get cut off from loud noises.

I have been wearing ComTacs everytime I go out and they work as advertised.   I don't know anyone with Sordins but everyone that has ComTacs seems pleased with them. I've worn them under a Canadian helmet and a TC2002.
