I don't know anything about the actual USMC Under Armour approved shirt, but I have a couple OD Under Armour shirts I've worn extensively in the field and they're excellent. I had heard that Under Armour had produced a flame resistant shirt, if it is essentially the same as the original then it...
Gen Natynczyk's Iraq experience and the fact that he's the same MOC as Gen Hillier might make the difference. I think Gen. Leslie might connect with the civie's and politicians better though, especially if Gen Natynczk is still saying 'y'all' from his time in Texas.
Haven't been over, but from what the guys in my Coy tell me you can expect to be hauling around 60-70 pounds on your back in the summer time on Ops. They mostly used the issued Small Pack which was big enough to carry what they needs, but it has a POS belt so the weight is all on your upper...
I heard Recce Pl on TF 1-07 were issued the Kifaru ZXR for the tour. Don't know if someone here can confirm that, I'll ask my 2IC tomorrow though. Seems like another contradiction to me.

Heard about this on the news today, looks like this might come through. Comments?
Arcteryx is a Cdn company, I'm sure they could pump this out in CADPAT for everyone in the CF for half what it cost to design and produce the new rucksack. I bet they could produce 4-5 sizes and it would fit just as well.

I'll give another vote for the Sole footbeds. They're all I've worn for the last 2-3 years in my boots and running shoes. I wore them along with my new Original SWAT boots last Friday on a BFT and my feet have never felt that good on or after a 13km...
So now things had gotten even more complicated. Not only was 7 Platoon caught in a wild crossfire, three of their six vehicles were either partially or totally out of the battle.
But this wasn't even the only action going on. Far on the left flank, beyond the kill zone where 7 Platoon was...

My buddy's new wife is a professional artist who has painted a number of paintings of weapons and military type scenes. The originals were all over his walls in his PMQ in Oromocto, they're excellent and it is really hard to tell how cool they look from the little images on her website. He's...
My beef about the 25mm Ammo Can as a workout tool is just a personal preference. I keep bouncing it off my head and the little narrow metal handles are hard on my hands. I like using the sandbag better.
Here is the link to the Cross Fit based CF Cbt Fitness Program. Its all good, except anything to do with a 25mm ammo can filled with dirt.

Good to hear there were no Cdn casualties. My buddy's leave was over last Friday so he should be back with H Coy already, makes reading/watching the news a bit different.
