    Reconstitution

I would say go back to the old but modernised ''depot''. One or two main per Div and a couple of satellite once. Let them walk outside not a Mega building full of virus. Let the RCN and the RCAF start them on day with the element's flavor. Keep the same commun training.

I was lucky because 34 and 35 CBG are so closed. We're not spread over 3 provinces. 34 CBG have 1 sub-unit at 8 hrs drive, all the other are at 90 min. Lot of things are easier for 34 CBG. I know, dont worry. We mainly differ on the how. I still get a few peints with you ;)

@Halifax Tar 1-Free up all those tens of Mcpl - WO ARes at CFLRS for the summer so they can train ARes instead of RegF Sure. 2-It's also part of the RegF job to train the reserve. (Remember what I told you earlier, ARes can do a bit but not everything. The RegF can't even train itself) So if...

Those stories and there was too many are completely stupid and disgusting. I would like to know who and why it was done. I'm 100% with you. The grenade was a figure of speech or was it  :ROFLMAO:

Yes and no but how? Since day one we are told that you need to take the grenade for the group. It's embeded in us to don't give a dang about worked hour. It will not stop easily.

    Reconstitution

I will tell you exactly what I said to my 9-9 at the time when he ask me for more sgt. for the summer under the almost threat not to train the unit member because we had not a lot of sgt. 1-Free up all those tens of Mcpl - WO ARes at CFLRS for the summer so they can train ARes instead of RegF...

That was a no go. It's hard to argues the voluntary side of Cl B when one of the top of the CoC comes in more then most Cl A. as a Cl B. However the rule was that if you want to contribute, we will give you a secondary task (mess admin, DUI, or any position they could do without causing them to...

How hard would it be or why not having the PRes pay comes from the same pot, like the RegF?

    Reconstitution

I'm a bit guilty of that. I never liked those guys on can in Cl B at Mcpl and were still there (same office) on their ALP. I took that shinny Cl B after Afg but, I made a point, a kinda line in the sand point to parade at the Regiment, like any other Cl A. Rarely took a compensatory at...

    Reconstitution

It seems that they are to busy during the summer to train the PRes. On the reverse side, there's (if I remember well) something 1.5 to 2 coy wort in numbers of ARes Mcpl-WO training RegF in the training system. That's only in 2 Div.

Since day one, since la Nouvelle-France, militia which was taken from the french Milice was to raise body of troop to fight in the way they arrived under the command of the Seigneur or is Capitaine. After the conquest it stayed the same and up the from 1812, the Fenians Raids and up to 1885...

Butter on the table my friend. Nop but war time is something else. To be able to absorb that many people in war, you need a well structure system which a slim number of free volunteer won’t put enough grease on the skid. If you take the Afghan conflict, it’s an excellent point in case...

As I said higher, military service like that is a cultural trait de caractère of a country. We barely have enough workers for Tim Hortons and the wage is raising because of that. Once someone is in the military worked hours doesn’t count. We spend our life on overtime.

I don’t believe that you by yourself will be able to turn the Canadian society on that. No one will stand up against enemy bullets for free.

Interesting yes. Usually Anglo-saxon country and draft in peace time is not a popular mix.
