    LAV 6.0

Agreed Keep in mind that with a combat load you are likely seeing that to be IVO 3.5-4.5, and I’ve seen estimates over 5 for a fully laden combat soldier. While I agree on the Bv206 comment, see above, I don’t agree on the BvS10 when you factor armor, weapons ammo, water etc.

Indirect Fires Modernization Project - C3/M777 Replacement

I’m curious as to the number 27. But… We’d be dumping them. With the refocus on LSCO’s and DivArty being the fires focus none of the Maneuver Bde’s hold Arty anymore. No Stryker Div’s so no wheeled SPG’s. You are either a Light Div SBCT or an Armored Div SBCT so you get M119, M777 and...

Indirect Fires Modernization Project - C3/M777 Replacement

Quick note, there is really zero interest in the US Army to replace the M109A7, the only current potential upgrade project for the M109 is looking into the longer 52 cal barrel, and the only active sources sought is for a commercial source for breech mechanisms. One can search SAM.gov for any...

    LAV 6.0

3 Casualties and your platoon is combat ineffective. FOO's do have their own vehicles these days with the Bradley FIST's at 2/CAB. Each Platoon gets a medic (or 2) but the Medical Evacuation is primarily conducted by the BSB though, as the Pl Sgt then Coy 1st Sgt handle movements back to a Bn...

    Replacing the Subs

Perhaps they are looking beyond the Baltic as the real need for their subs? The Baltic is a NATO lake at this point. Poland has global aspirations, their Army can contain Russia fairly easily at this point, so perhaps they are seeing a role for themselves in the Pacific?

    LAV 6.0

Generally most dismounted squad/sections are in the 10-14 personnel size now. Which puts a Platoon in the 40-56 size. For Light forces this makes sense due to the need to rely on internal firepower, support, and initial casualty care/evacuation, but at the end of the day it really is...

    Future Helicopters

I was more talking about a Geopard like system. The 20mm M61 Vulcan on the F16/18’s isn’t ideal and doesn’t have the FCS to track the system as well as dedicated AD systems.

    LAV 6.0

I have a 2022 Suburban. The sensors are pretty neat, but rain and high winds can make the lane change system think something is next to me, and any off-road usage has them pretty next to useless in a short period of time, heck even stuff that is pretty tame like range roads the dust renders...

    Future Helicopters

There are larger pods than the 19 pack. As well the early Cobra only took 2/stub wing but the later Apache’s could do 4 Some of the DAP’s had well over 100 on each side using the LAU-61, which would have been 6-8 on the wing pieces. Also given that Arnold Defense makes 23 packs that have...

    LAV 6.0

What is the mission you need conducted by a Section and then also the Platoon and Company ? Those answers will dictate how many people need to be in it, which will also drive vehicles and support side issues. I don’t think wheeled vehicles make good assault vehicles. So I’ll see myself out...

Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

Generally the days it is accepted that integrating special needs students is the least disrupt method, and the best for their education. Obviously there are differences between students with learning difficulties, vice behavioral ones. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an option to give...

Not OS yet AFAIK, but yes. If it becomes distributable to LE I’ll send it to you.

That than shoe horning a foreign system, you may want to push a volunteer Auxiliary to various LEA’s. Lots of LEA’s down here have reserves and Auxiliaries.

Not other than the general threat against those sorts of facilities.

Well given they used the Russian spelling for Kyiv I suspect there is a lot of other Russian disinformation going on there.

GBAD - The return of 'FOBS'

None of them do a great job. The only setup where they can help the shooter is a stabilized system which are unbelievably bulky for small arms. As much as they can help already decent shooters the disturbed reticle generally tends to make experienced shooters start to chase it, and so they...
