Soapbox time. I think we can all agree that drill has it's roots in field formations required for battle. In the naval context, it was used to reliably train sailors in repeatable actions necessary for safe operation of the vessels. The second order effect of drill was condoning troops to...
You should be fine to rejoin, particularly if you're considering the reserves. Given the experience you indicate, you might find Cyber Operator a good fit. If there's a unit nearby, you could also consider the Naval Reserve as a Cyber Operator.
I would suggest that as long as there are no periods of NES, it would take two years. The number of days paid per month are not relevant for this purpose.

It doesn't matter which side you're on. There should be no argument that the current approach of masked, armed men rounding people up, whisking them off to detention camps and then dumping them in out of country prisons, all without the application of due process is not the way things are done...
I'm not sure what you're asking here. Two years service is two years. If you mean how many days do you need to parade or train to accumulate the equivalent of two years full time service, then the answer is going to be 356x2 = 730. If we assume that you have four parade and three training days...

Something he promised not to do during his confirmation hearing. Of course this is also the guy who said that people shouldn't take medical advice from him. 🤦♂️
I find it highly interesting that the text of the NG mobilization order from the President does not make mention of any specific state or city, and that the number be no less than 2000, but also does not state a maximum. This leaves the door open for further mobilizations in other places IMHO.
You can probably bet that head shots, even with less-than-lethal rounds, are not sanctioned by any police force. I would suggest that a head shot could transform the round from less-than-letal into lethal quite quickly.
I would suggest that you see what the demands of your residency are before you make a decision. In my experience, residents have precious little time to devote to extra activities. I've had a couple of sailors leave because the demands of med school and residency were too much. Besides, your...
LAPD has also issued press releases stating that the protests have by-and-large been peaceful, and within their ability to manage, and that they do not require the assistance of the National Guard.
