I read this article the other day and was wondering what people thought. The basic idea is that the Police Chief was corrupt and brutal, but since he was an ally, "love covers all sins".

Sorry you’re going through that and having to deal with that.
What’s not clear from the application process page (258 pages and 15 years worth of data for people new to this site) is why some folks move fast through the system. Each case is different and so hard to predict from the outset...
Wow I had no clue other folks were languishing in the system like me. I’ve been dabbling for like 3 years. Now I went for an interview so I thought an offer would be 10 days after the interview.
Question: if you interview with a regiment that really needs someone in your speciality isn’t the...
I’m not sure if it’s been said before... or asked. In civvie side it’s good practice to follow up an interview with an email thanking your interviewer. They took an hour to hear you blab about yourself when they could have been at home in an epsom salt bath so some recognition I would imagine...
Are there Pro bono legal service providers that can help with these things? Or other advisory companies that help soldiers deal with these benefit rights
Thanks for this. My next question was on a practical level when was this technical power ever used to compel attendance? Seems like an entire academic discussion as you’ve answered.
Sorry for not being clear- You should absolutely pursue this with all means available. I hope you can find support on resources by other knowledgeable members on this board. Best of luck.
Ya I’m a newbie. Not sure what I missed. I thought if I’m called from the unit CO with an offer, I’ll ask to see what the offer is and what the expectations are.
You seem to be saying that’s not how it’s done? Take it or leave it? Any questions about military requirements go look at the...
A reservist being required to train at the order of the CO-This is something that is not properly communicated on most of the government websites. They all say one night a week, one weekend a month. It doesn’t say anywhere “and any other two-week period for training that the commanding officer...
Um, say what Willis?? You telling me a CO can order a meek Reservist to go on a two week training exercise to Gagetown after the holidays or at some other random time?
Yes after googling it further it seems the Forces made some changes with the ombudsman’s participation in 2000 after some dude seriously messed up his leg muscle. The report indicated the Forces were proactive and put systems in place to prevent needless injury. Good to hear.
Oh man this is music to my ears. Thank you for the feedback. Could totally do it but it’s a lot of wear and tear on these ol’ Bones and tendons. Obstacles, running bursts, Sleep deprivation - no problem. But rubbing tendons on bones repetitively for hours on end- that’s just pointless exposure...
There was an incredible podcast called Caliphate. Ten part series or something. Went into great detail and interviews with former ISIS Canadian. Highly recommend this podcast for folks interested in the subject. Major takeaway: proving crimes overseas is a difficult task according to canadian...
Hey I looked around the forum and couldn’t see anything on whether the 13km march has in fact been reduced to 5km. This was reported a few months back and I’m wondering if BMQ and or BMOQ has updated the course reflect the new lesser distance requirement.
