For what it's worth, I applied at age 16 in October of 2012. I originally was told I couldn't apply until 17 but went back after perusing army.ca and got a different recruiter who started my application just fine.

Watched it a few months ago, just wondering, why did the EOD Tech walk up to the IED like that and place the charge? Wouldn't it have sufficed to just throw it or something? Seems like a somewhat unnecessary risk seeing as he wasn't even wearing the suit. Is that commonplace?

What I meant by that is that my recruiter has said that he will enroll me as soon as he gets my file from the CFRC but I'm not sure when that will be and whether there will be any positions in the regiment left once my file does get through.
