I was in the BOR here in Vic on friday, and was told by the clerk that the back PLD money was due to be deposited at the end of Feb and that the new mthly PLD amt was going to take effect come the mid Feb pay. Is there some truth to this?

Since this topic was already here, I figured I would just raise it form the dead to ask a question to the subbies. What are your opinions on women being aboard a sub? If you have sailed with some, how did it go? Was it as hard or easy as expected??

I love that sign!! It was put up after many residents were complaining about the noise from the Prowlers. I guess they didn't bother to check and see what the flight path was before buying their houses. ps... It's Whidbey Island..not Whitby Island  ;) edited to change "jets" to "Prowlers"...

Also keep in mind, that it is not just the sub that is the threat, but the weapons it has on board. Some can travel pretty damn far to reach its target...perfect example would be the SS-N-19 "Shipwreck". Can travel 600km to reach its target!!! HOLY CRAP!!  lol

LOL...I am just fine with math, thank you! If we use the 1/5th example (which is based on a crew size of 150): Our frigates can carry 225 pers, short 45 pers Our Destroyers can carry 295 pers, short 59 pers Our AOR's can carry 365 pers, short 73 pers Not sure where the 30 pers short per boat...

According to the MARPAC Admiral today, we are short one full ships crew. That concerns me!
