    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

Hey guys/gals. I just switched my application from reserves to ROTP. This looks like the thread to be in for the ROTP candidates haha. My medical and CFAT are done, I just need to complete the interview again. More on my story here if anyone is interested...

Opinions requested for the position I now find myself in.

Thank you for your responses. It is nice to get some feedback from experienced members. I have decided that, since being in the military full time is my goal after university, I may as well take advantage of the opportunity that I have to join through ROTP. Thanks again, Pusser and AmmoTech90...

I was told that attaching a typed copy is perfectly fine, and that is what I would do.

Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

I don't think they were ever giving out lists of trades you are eligible for after completing your CFAT. We were told as a group that everyone passed the test. I just assumed that meant that everyone scored high enough for their chosen occupation. In my interview though, I was told that my CFAT...

Opinions requested for the position I now find myself in.

Good evening everyone Just to start off, Mods please feel free to move my thread to a different location if I chose a poor one. My question involves quite a few different topics, so I thought I would try it here. Here's the situation. I am currently in the application process for joining the...

    Can you read this?

When we read we see words as shapes, not as groups of individual letters. That is why it is so easy to misinterpret a word when you are writing a test and read a question too fast. When I was in grade three, my English teacher made us outline/ draw a box around all of our spelling words...

The WWII guns firing after 70 years buried in peat (BBC)

Wow that is unreal. I knew that peat was a really good organinc preserver, but I am amazed to see that gun fire after so many years. Correct me if I'm wrong, but peat is very acidic, so the chances of the metal oxidizing were really good? I guess there was limited amounts of oxygen under the...

Signing up as an aerospace engineer PLEASE HELP!!!

If you are in second year aerospace eng. at Ryerson, you should have no problem on the CFAT. I'm first year eng. at UBC and just wrote it a week ago. The only thing to study, if if there are resources available to do so, is spatial ability. To get a good idea of what will be on the CFAT though...

Cat urine also glows under a blacklight. Thought you should be aware in case the need to know that fact ever arises.  :)

You can never go wrong with John Mellencamp For anybody into hip hop, or even just into MJ, check out MJ's Billie Jean remixed to Wildcat by Ratatat. Definitely one of my favourites right now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X827AZ_ajAs

    Application Process Samples [2003 - 2018]

Update: Hey guys, couple updates. After handing in my application, I went on holiday for two weeks. When I got back, I had a message from CFRC Vancouver asking me to call them back. I called and left a message with my name, number, and a quick description of my situation once a week for six...

    Reserve before Regular

I was thinking about the same thing, but in my case I was wondering whether or not I should join the reserves while I am in university or just join the regular force after graduation. Searching the site got me lots of answers on the topic, and I ended up deciding to join the reserves before the...

PRes recruiting offices open EVERY Wednesday evening?

I ran into the same problem with the my recruiting centre. It was too far away to drive to and the phone lines were always busy or unanswered. I found that leaving a message with my name, number, and a quick reason for calling allowed them to respond to my call when they had enough time to...
