I've been shining my parade boots for over three years now. Near the end of basic they looked pretty good, but since then it seems the more polish I put on them, the worse they seem to get. I can literally polish a single boot for an hour and it'll look no different than when I started. I had...
Ask your current chain of command, they'll have the answer you want, or they'll be able to find it for you. I know around these parts many people ruck on their time off wearing their uniforms, but that might not pass in other areas.
I'm going to assume you're asking if you need it for travel within question, and the answer is no. It's a good thing to have to avoid any hassle later, but as mentioned above it is by no means required.
A couple. One, for starters, is the Forces.gc.ca website, which you can filter trades by education level. Or, more importantly, a recruiting center, who's job is to answer questions such as this.
I haven't been able to find much information about the CO's Commendation. Is it a framed certificate? How often are these awarded? What is the impact on having something like this on file?
Any information is helpful.
Hopefully I'm not disturbing anything by reviving an extremely old thread.
SGT Renay Groves will be delivering "Notes from Home" to the War Museum on 10 November 2010. It recently spent a day in Ottawa to be signed by Mr. Harper and should be in Kingston presently.
I was initially going to suggest that cardiovascular health has no bearing on strength, but then I realized that it would help in supplying more oxygen to the muscles, thereby allowing you to push more.

Did you even search the forums or Google for "Voice Procedure"? And if he's on course he should have the material available to him, at the very least he's able to ask his CoC.
As far as I know, CR is back to priority 1 for clearances. I've noticed about 40 get pushed through in the last month and a half. They're moving a lot faster than they used to be.
And yes, 201 is correct. I saw the list about three weeks ago, but since then the number has dropped by 19-30. ...
I'm required to wear the Land Force command badge for a parade tomorrow. I thought Navy didn't wear these badges, but apparently I have to. I know it goes on the right side centered on the pocket, but that doesn't apply for Navy DEU's as there is no pocket on the right side. So, does anyone...
Suppose that makes sense. I just made the incorrect assumption that a given rank was a given rank. I didn't realize there would be conditions attached.
Though it doesn't really apply to my situation. I'm 30 months in without my QL3. I don't really care to have my hook, as I realize I'm not...
Perhaps I'm misreading the CFAO, then. Note 2 implies that the requirement was removed by an issued CANFORGEN, which I can't seem to access. Unless note 3 is saying that the change was undone?
It is simply my frustration coming out in regards to the CFAO's not always being up-to-date.
I wasn't aware that I offended anyone.
This seems to jive with most of what I've seen. However, I work with people at the 21EW Regt who meet all criteria and still haven't been given their hook, yet...
