    Canada-US Trade Relations

Even Fox news which is pro Trump has admitted than in June surveys, Trump had an approval rating of 45% ( this was in June, right now his approval rating is at the lowest point recorded, as I wrote before).  I'll put a link to prove that it's a fact, not an opinion...

Well this came out about 25 minutes ago. It's going to be pretty awkward for Trump now... https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/nafta-trump-compromise-trudeau-1.4806240

    Canada-US Trade Relations

Although he seems to be trying to say otherwise, I think he's now more desperate than ever to make a deal with Canada. Just look at the newest approval rating survey. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/aug/31/donald-trump-approval-rating-sinks-to-lowest-of-his-presidency

Federal Goverment's Kinder Morgan pipeline purchase

Although not considered so, I feel like the liberals are now more left wing ( or maybe it's just Trudeau and Kathleen Wynne ) than the NDP.

    Back To Fires

Sure thing CBH99. My bad guys, I went a bit off topic.

    Back To Fires

Of course, never meant to say otherwise. Just trying to say that those in charge of using the defence budget to buy military equipment don't seem to be doing the best job of choosing the best items ( both in terms of price and numbers). The standard of compensation and benefits that the CAF...

    Back To Fires

I agree. Just compare Turkey and Canada. Canada spends 6 billion more on defence and yet has less than half the amount of every type of military equipment that Turkey has (except frigates and some other naval forces which we still have less of, but not half). Not to mention that with that...

    Back To Fires

I think the reason for this is that Canada wants to always look like a "peacekeeping" country in the world. This means that we shouldn't have/have a lot of equipment meant for a full out war. If we started to get MRL's, bombers and self propelled guns, our image of a peacekeeping nation wouldn't...

    Canada-US Trade Relations

I meant for Canada to participate in more trade negotiations and agreements after this NAFTA dispute. The TPP was signed by Canada before Trump's election and thus before the NAFTA deal was revisited. The deal with China however is a whole different story. The Canada-China trade talks were...

    Canada-US Trade Relations

Even when/if we do come to a good deal with the U.S and Mexico, we should still learn not to rely too much on a single country as much as possible.

    Port Inspection Diver

Thanks for the heads up. I have have no diving experience but do swim competitively which might help me out a bit. My first two trade choices will be army based so it might be a bit of a problem.

The Sikorsky Black Hawk would be nice. Can almost hold double the weight the Griffon can.

    CH-146 Griffon

Although the Tiger isn't the best ( armed reconnaissance helicopter) helicopter available, it would still be adequate for the operations we are currently in. It has been tested in Mali by both Germany and France and seems to have been quite effective.

    Clearance diver

Not sure if someone has posted this before (sorry in advance if they have) but it seems like becoming a clearance diver has become easier, application wise. It's a few months old but it was still posted in 2018. https://ml-fd.caf-fac.ca/en/2018/02/10576 Any CAF member can now apply and you...

    CH-146 Griffon

Shouldn't we be looking to purchase a gunship like the Viper or Apache to escort the Griffons and Chinooks when they are on operations such as the ones in Mali?
