I just got off the phone with a SLt at the Toronto CFRC, and s/he said that they weren't doing overnight stays on the Toronto leg of the journey, but are doing private tours.

What do you have to do to get on the overnight stay? Do you have to make preparations beforehand?

Yes. Double yes. I hope this'll raise awareness among us geeks of the role that the Navy plays. For the occasion, they should change the name of one of our ships to HCMS Enterprise for the day. That'd be awesome.

Agreed. The reason why I don't take her seriously with this issue. It's quite funny that she herself was considering going into the Air Force 10 years ago, but couldn't become a pilot because of her vision. Yeah, that's good and all, but are any of the engineers? There are certain stereotypes...
