Tomato, tomatoe. I think we are keeping the peace by conducting combat operations. The only thing the public needs to be aware that on old missions, we sent soldiers because they might have been needed to conduct those type of operations. Thankfully we didn't need to, in alot of cases.

Sorry call me thick but I don't know many soldiers that fly themselves into theatre, drives the bus, dismounts if they get hit and clears the enemy. all while prodding for mines? ;D  I'm just talking about basic skills in their respective trades.

Very nice bait, is that a cut and paste comment? I don't recall actually asking a question, however allow me bring you back to the topic. The reality is that reservists are being asked to fill slots on tours. We can continue to complain about it, make up reasons why it can't be done or realize...

Still waiting for the common sense. First, Reservists aren't summer-replacement students. They are permanent employees, only part-time. When they are asked to deploy with a unit, if a skill is required they should get the training.
