This is a somewhat unrelated question...but I haven‘t been able to do any chin-ups because I strained a muscle in my right arm months ago. Pain shoots down my arm every time I hang from the overhead bars, so trying to pull up is out of the question. I‘m just worried that my arm is not...
I think someone might have mentioned this before...but what exactly is the SQ? When and where do you do it? Does everyone have to take it? How long is this course?
I guess it all depends on how many openings they have for each trade. If there are only 20 openings and 50 people who qualify for the trade, 30 people still won‘t get in.
I find initially, if you have difficulty doing push ups, it would help if you go to the gym and work specifically on your triceps. They have different types of equipment for this...just ask the staff there.
When I did my push ups at the tests (1st time in Sept, 2003, 2nd time in Feb, 2004...
I keep hearing that the reserves need more people, but it‘s pretty hard to recruit people when nobody at the reserve unit ever answers the d*** phone. I have considered applying to the reserves, but finally gave up. There is never anyone there to pick up the phone and when you leave messages...
Kev, it depends on what trade you want to apply for. Say, someone wants to be doctor in the military, they would need a medical degree. An engineer would need an Engineering degree. What trade are you interested in?
It is indeed possible to do push ups with your hands beneath your shoulders. But I have to disagree with RJG. You Can have your elbows bending outwards (I don‘t think they really care...at least the evaluator never said which way my elbows have to bend. All they wanted is that your hands are...
Getting into an officer trade is very competitive. I am 27 (almost 28) and originally applied for an officer position. I have 2 Bachelor Degrees (and my GPA are pretty good too), 2 years of experience working in a supervisory role...but was not accepted for the trades I applied for because I...
I‘m just thinking about where I would want to be posted when I get accepted into the army. That‘s why I want a list of the bases. I have found a listing of some bases on the Internet, but I haven‘t been able to find a complete list.
Yes, it‘s either pass or fail. For some trades, you might only need an overall score of say 60, for others, you might need a certain score for a component, e.g. 80 for the math, 70 for spatial skills...
I don‘t know what the exact minimum you need to get for those trades...they don‘t tell you what your results are anyways (only whether you passed or failed). But I can tell you the CFAT is pretty easy. Just look over the sample questions you get with your application package. Of course the...
Hi, I‘m looking for a list of military (particularly army) bases across Canada. Sorry if someone had posted this somewhere already, but I can‘t find it.
I did mine with pen and paper too and yes, they did say we are not supposed to give out specific information about the test (i.e. the questions that are on there).
