    EME Officer competitiveness

Generally, it's relatively easy to get accepted into EME.  The type of degree and the environment tends to limit competition.  Keep in mind though, that you need to be reasonably fit and able to work in stressful environments to pass your training.  We had about a 20% failure rate on my DP1.

St Jean Graduation Night off *Time Sensitive

Last time I went through, 2 of the 3 courses were allowed out for the evening.  The 3rd course had their evening out cancelled because too many people were rubbernecking at personnel passing out on the grad parade.

University Training Plan NCM (UTPNCM) 2005 - 2018 [Merged]

When I switched, I was told the same percentages for the PSO score, but that the CO's recommendation counted for about 40%.  So those thirds may only account for 60% of the total weight when the boards sit.

Fitness for Operational Requirements of CAF Employment ( FORCE )

Agreed. The incentive of retaining one's job should be enough.  Fitness is a requirement for the job, and one that's not very onerous.

Feds hit with $30M judgment for bid rigging (Brookfield)

    POET Course Supplies

I went through POET in 2003, and as stated above, everything that was needed was supplied.  As to being allowed to use your own equipment, I can think of two reasons why not.  First, it could be harder for instructors to assess you if your readings differ from the expected, and second, I've...

    CANFORGEN on Pay and PIL

MARPAC has a PIL team site that states "The current direction is that the Pay in Lieu of CFSP, regardless of a member’s election choice, will be paid out during the fiscal year 2013/2014, so everyone can expect to be paid out this fiscal year."  So, possibly, it will not be a 3 year wait.
