Only you can make the decision. I had pretty much the same situation as you.  And I decided to give it a try.

I like alot of different music, including country and rock. But music I really appreciate is alot of east coast bands and other Canadian Bands. At the top of my list would be : Joel Plaskett,  Matt Mays, Two Hours Traffic, Sam Roberts

Just get ready to wait.  Keep yourself busy training. I first applied in January, and leave in November.  So personally it's about 10 - 10.5 months from the time I walked into the recruiting office to the time I leave for BMQ.

I was merit listed back in May, and I had a job offer within a week of that happening.

I'm fixing computers.  Pretty decent money so I'm not complaining, but I'm also anxious to get going.  Do you know when our swear in date is Owa?  I haven't heard anything yet.
