The above has always been my understanding of the benefits. Although not very clear it's also written the same on VACs Q&A page.
The examples on the Q&A page of vets receiving 20% 40% and 100% lump sums and then show what they receive for a monthly pension have been removed. Maybe VAC is making...
You also need to be aware there is no lump sum for vets who have previously taken a lump sum. This is stated on there page in the Q &A however VAC did a poor job of separating vets who have received a lump sum versus vets putting a new claim in April 1st. If you already received a lump sum you...
As far as I know no such benefit actually exists under VAC. Your case manager may have been talking about other organizations like Soldier On that can help assist you with outdoor rec activities. I still doubt any organization would provide an ATV.
Your best bet is to get in touch with your...
Did it say why it denied you? Normally there's a quick explanation as to why. It is possible they just didn't see your DEC since the applications were so close together.
If they denied on medical grounds then there is not an appeal. It is a review and you must ask for the review in writing...
Can you point me to the language your referring too?
This is how VAC calculated the top up.

I would appeal that decision. I went to role 3 and Landshtule and then hospital/rehab hospital for a few months but qualified and I'm 66%. Sounds like someone didn't understand your application very well.

You can refuse unsafe work in most...

That shows how VAC...
I'd say RobA is right. It already states you get the choice of the $360k or the monthly amount for life. I don't see any extra lump sum coming to those who already received one just a possible monthly amount.
Yes, but notice how it says you will be awarded 4/5ths as a partial entitlement not the 1/5th and so on that use to be the case.
A lot of people that I have spoken to that fell under this policy had 1/5th entitlement. So this is an increase. If it's a direct result of service you would get 5/5...
