A&W Papa Burgers: The choice of Griffon pilots everywhere

Investigation? Yeesh. I hope it's short, sweet and does nothing more than admit that "Operation Papa Burger has been a complete success"

Vision Questions Megathread, Categories, Problems etc.

Go to a recruiting center, apply and you'll find out at your medical.

Vision Questions Megathread, Categories, Problems etc.

As always, the best thing to do is contact your local CFRC and get a hold of the medical staff there, however that being said, from what I've read during my own vision quest (HA!) around here, having 1 eye which is (for lack of a better term legally blind), would make you V5 and ineligible for...

    Application Process Samples [2003 - 2018]

***UPDATE*** Well, went for my appointment this morning, passed CFAT "Well above the requirements of my chosen trades".  Going over the information after the test, I'm also ok for quite a few other trade options should my vision fall into V4 instead of V3 for Combat Arms.  My medical was...

Vision Questions Megathread, Categories, Problems etc.

There's a link at the top of this page to a thread dedicated to Vision Category & Acuity that I found very helpful (Thanks old medic!) http://forums.milnet.ca/forums/threads/31590/post-225087.html#msg225087 There's a PDF available in there which shows the requirements for specific trades. I...

    Waiting for Ottawa

Times change.  I have my CFAT, Med & Interview this week, but I'm expecting things to come to a slow crawl once that is done with, since paperwork needs to get sent farther down the line.  Still, even if I end up waiting 6-8 months longer, I still consider it worthwhile in the end.

Sound off: What are you doing right now? Aside from the obvious being on here..

Horrific Crime Wave earns Winnipeg title of "mini-Detroit"

This seems to be quite true. I live in the East Kildonan area and there's the occasional loud party but nothing much more than that.  I have some friends who used to live near Point Douglas and there would be regular intervals of gunshots, guys running around with knives, bats, and other...

    Recruiting lies?

Mere minutes on the battlefield if you for some reason lay in front of the tires on your own vehicle before it starts moving.  I actually can't quite see any recruiter saying something like that.  Every time I've had a chat with one they were very concerned with checking out any careers I was...

Uniformed and Civilian employment for computer specialists?

CSIS has a list of careers that are available on their webpage. It would be better to look through there, instead of email asking about them hiring hackers. http://www.csis-scrs.gc.ca/crrs/thr-eng.asp Also, a good place to look for options with the Canadian Forces is right on their website...
