Munner, if you would take the time and effort to write down your kit (you should recieve a list of all the kit and all of the prices when you recieve your kit, they will make you sign for it, if they dont give a copy to you, ask for an extra copy...it can also come in handy if you lose something...

Che, if that is directed at me, I do not understand what you are talking about, and there is no humour involved. I posted that part of the casualty list because it seemed odd to have the same name in the same army and could perhaps have been a relative.

If you are issued OD combats, the US Woodland bush caps are issued with them.

Do not take caffeine pills or anything of the sort. They will work well for awhile, and then you will go down...hard.

The Gerber is basic issue kit. Everyone here anyways, is issued a Gerber as part of their initial kit-up and has nothing to do with your unit. On my kit list for basic, a Gerber was to be on you (or a field knife) at all times.

They coat combats in some sort of chemical. When you iron them it crystalises, thus the reason you‘re not supposed to iron them. That is what I was told about it.

It depends on the unit/leadership on whether or not BMQ and unqual troops can go to field exercises. Sometimes unqual. troops can be tasked to GD for the ex or to watch and learn. BMQ pers. can be tasked to GD or to provide enemy force for the ex. :)
