I swear by Magnums.  Yes, Danners and Hanwag's are great boots, but a pair of Magnums is not going to break the bank.  I find that I don't need the Goretex that comes in a lot of higher end boots these days.  If I do, I throw on a pair of Goretex socks.  They dry out WAY faster, and you can get...

Has anyone used the new Desert Magnums?   I use their Stealth boots as duty boots right now, and I'm thinking of buying a pair.   They seem to fit me better than Danners, and at $140 a pop, I can afford 2 pairs to one pair of Danners.

Not meaning to open up this can of worms, BPPC.... but what does it matter if PhilB is Regs or Reserves?  Would the standard not be the same?  I tell you this... if I went on tour as a Reservist and got held to a different standard than the Reg Force guys did (ie:  they could wear non-issue kit...

I think the new ACU looks a lot better than the first run.  I also like the pocket layouts... much more thought into that than there was when CADPAT came out.  New Cam, same old uniform.  What good are waist/chest pockets when you are wearing a LBV or body armour?
