    Selection Dates 2013-2018

Hey wnhan,     Cant really explain it much further since that is essentially what he stated as to the partial reason he does not have up to date selection date information. I should have asked him if they are still taking people for my three positions this fiscal year. Did you ask if they are...

    Fighter Pilot

This question is primarily for current and former pilots of the RCAF with regards to pursuing graduate level education and their schedule. Glossing over some RCAF pilot resumes on Linked In such as Joshua Kutryk ( newly appointed astronaut with the CSA), I couldn't help but notice graduate level...

    Selection Dates 2013-2018

Hello all,     Received an email from my file manger today notifying me that I am on the competition. To wnhan, he echoed the same statement. He did not have any information pertaining to selection dates, which in my case, are in regards to Pilot, ACSO and AEC occupations. He said this was...

    Selection Dates 2013-2018

Hey SteviePete, Was the email notifying you of your status on the competition list sent to you by the Canadian Forces Recruiting Group ( CFRG ) or your file manager? I was notified by my file manager that my application was complete and sent to CFRG for selection purposes, but have not received...

    Aircrew Selection/ACS (Merged)

Congratulations on passing ACS for all three occupations nic! Just curious if you know how many people were on your course and the amount that passed. Curious to see if the pass rate of about 30 percent is consistent. Also, were you briefed on your test competitiveness across the three occupations?

    Application Process Samples [2003 - 2018]

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has received an offer recently for Pilot, ACSO or AEC and when their BMOQ date is set to begin. I believe I was put on the competition list for all three trades during the beginning of September ( my file manager notified me that he sent my application to the...

    Selection Dates 2013-2018

Deo Pilot, AEC, ACSO candidate here. Also curious to the next round of air operations selection dates and estimate of remaining spots. Hope the purported August 23rd selection date was pushed back ( recently being put up for selection this week has nothing to do with that  [:D )

Criminal Records Check - CRC (Merged)

Good day, Last night I was in a parking lot waiting for some people to come out from a store. My car door is open and Im leaning up against it minding my own business. The AC in my car was not working and the night air was cool. This guy pulls up on the side of the open door with so many other...

When attending ACS2, is business-casual dress wear with a change of gym wear the expected dress standard?

Anyone else feel like the spotlights on them?

I feel like the spot light is on me due to the length of the application process. I get the sense that people assume because they have seen me after like 8 months of telling them I applied to CAF that something is wrong with my application or Im hiding something from them. I dont blame them...

    Aircrew Selection/ACS (Merged)

Hey Jollibee, I think you are talking about the 'regular' medical that is part of the application process for all prospective CF members. I believe the ACS medical is for pilot applicants that are successful at ACS and want to pursue a pilot application. Are you applying for pilot btw? Sounds...

    Aircrew Selection/ACS (Merged)

What do you mean you had to book your own medical? I was under the impression that as your file progresses  along, your file manager/ CFRC will give you dates for ACS pt 2 medical and you pick a date. The results are then forwarded to Ottawa from Toronto and an air factor is assigned. Note...

    Air Shows

At ACS they gave a calendar of the QIAS featuring all the performers of 2016 as part of the welcome package. In the back of my mind I mentally said I was going to attend in June, in hopes of seeing a Raptor. At the end May I realized that there would be no show in 2017 and that they were...

    Aircrew Selection/ACS (Merged)

Hey Guys, So I'm still waiting on dates for ACS pt/. 2 ( Medical Portion). Completed ACS pt 1 before March. Been going through some process samples and the wait between Trenton testing to Toronto medical seems to be about 4-5 months. Just wondering how others successful in Trenton are...

Any (Military) Benefit to Blowing Physical Standards Out of the Water?

I find cardio type workouts - running, swimming, airdyne sprints, etc to be a real 'mental toughness' builder. You can always push yourself to go harder, further or a given intensity longer, through pushing through the mental  ( and pain) barrier. You cant really do that with the convential 8-12...

Any (Military) Benefit to Blowing Physical Standards Out of the Water?

I have and I use those distances as "easy run" days. I redline doing 400/ 800 meter interval sprints. Ive been doing alot of 'meathead'  ::) type workouts for the last 6 months because I workout with a buddy whose into adding size and weight . Going to focus more on BMOQ fitness prep.

Any (Military) Benefit to Blowing Physical Standards Out of the Water?

Oh wow, I never heard about this before. Something to aspire to during preparations. I have an intrinsic motivation with regards to acing tests ( academic work, driving/flying test, NHL 14-17 against my friends (lol), acs, etc )- nice to know i can potentially gain a tangible reward.  Is it...

Any (Military) Benefit to Blowing Physical Standards Out of the Water?

So I'm patiently anticipating receiving an offer for an Aircrew Trade and was wondering if there is any practical benefit to showing up to BMOQ and banging out 100 push-ups, 60 sit ups in a min. and scoring really high on the step test, above and beyond the passing score.
