I doubt you'll have a problem with meals.... although you have to eat quick... its not so bad that you can't get seconds most of the time. I know with courses my unit has ran, you get like 45-60minutes for meals, but then thats my unit and we're a Service Battalion, so I guess we don't have much...

Your CFAT (aptitude test) is valid for your entire career... UNLESS... you want to do a CT to a different trade, if you did not qualify for this trade when you wrote originally, you can re-write the CFAT to try for a higher score. Your recruiting centre will be able to find out that information...

There has been a lot of discussion with the whole switch over with the medical world. Where do you (medics) think we belong? With our new Fd Ambs or should we have been kept with our original units be they Svc Bn's, Arty, Inf, Armd.....

I fully agree that this may be a better option for the Regular Force troops/units, but as a reservist, it doesn't seem that the "outside medics" get the training or posn's that we should. Some of us that have been with our reserve units for years are much more suited to stay with our supported...

In the reserves.... Pistols are issued during field exercises or range exercises just the same as the C7 service rifle. Although pistols are in short supply and usually only issued to officers or RSO's (Range Safety Officers) and some medics will carry a pistol at times. But we are not issed...

Has this change improved anything for me... no... I'm a medic that was with a Svc Bn, and have been moved over to a Fd Amb, if anything I have lost training I think. We are only brought to our Fd Amb units maybe 4 times a year, this year only twice. And now when we are in our "original" units...

Firstly, my condolences for your loss... None the less... this isn't a reason why your recruitment process woudn't continue. You have to want to join for your own reasons also. You have to want to do it for yourself. Good luck with the recruiting process.
