    Arctic/Offshore Patrol Ship AOPS

Hopefully, the production of the remaining AOPS will be hurried up so that work can start on the CSCs.

    Arctic/Offshore Patrol Ship AOPS

Well, the H-92 Superhawk is a standard utility version of the S92 design that the CH-148 is deprived from. Navalize it for use on ships and it could be used on Asterix, Protecteur and Preserver.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to get some non-ASW versions of the Cyclones for cargo purposes?

That definitely has my vote.  Would be nice for the name Haida to be recycled along with the others.

Soon as I saw "extendable" in the system title, I thought immediately of the old Sea Sparrow launching systems on the 280s pre-rebuild.

Deepest condolences from one former member of the Lincoln and Welland Regiment to our brothers in the Royal Regiment for their loss.

First FFG(X) to be named USS Constellation

Agreed.  When they planned to build the Lexington-class CCs (battlecruisers) back in the latter years of the Great War, one of those ships was to be named USS Constitution.  Because of that, Old Ironsides was RE-NAMED as Old Constitution in 1917 (it reverted back in 1935 when the CCs were...

    Battle Honours and Colours question

Pity that those units existing in the time before the 1936 Militia reforms who did send people to the CEF didn't AT LEAST get the "Great War" battle honour to show they contributed to that.

AOR Replacement & the Joint Support Ship (Merged Threads)

I remember on the Saguenay back in the late 1980s that the engineer junior ranks were in one big mess of about 40 bunks.  I myself was in the aftmost mess by the propellers and that had 24 spaces.  Hearing what's going into the new ships, I can say it'll be a luxury.

    Navy to consider gender-neutral ranks

I've hesitated on making comment on this issue.  Personally, I definitely support the idea of being all-inclusive when it comes to position titles and ranks, so the move by the Commander RCN to adjust things around is definitely welcome. :sarcasm: One thing I believe that might eventually come...

"B-52s to fly over all 30 NATO member states"

So who's the idiot in Washington who arranged for this dick-waving contest?

So it's confirmed!  Sweet! Now, all we need are the names of the two CCG AOPS.

Auditor General of Canada’s report on supplying the Canadian Armed Forces

Each JTF in CJOC should have at least one regional supply depot operationally assigned to it for just such purposes.  Reform 1 CFSD in Toronto for JTF(C) and 5 CFSD in either Moncton or Halifax for JTF(A) with another for JTF(P) in either Vancouver or Esquimalt; I'm sure 7 CFSD in Edmonton could...

What squadron will fly the RCAFs new King Air BE350 ISR+ aircraft?

So which is the next null-strength squadron to be brought back to duty again?  If the new aircraft are to be kept separate from 427 due to the difference of platforms, they need a new squadron.

    Replacing the Subs

Oh, wouldn't that be nice.  And convert our SSGNs into ABM platforms launching the enhanced Standards instead? Ah, it's such a great dream, isn't it...?

RNZN issues tender for Fleet Tanker replacement

Honestly, we should have gone for one of these to help support forces up north.
