    Fates of former armouries

And D Company of the Lincoln and Welland Regiment.  As soon as the armoury was declared surplus, D Company was stood down and C Company stood up in Welland.

    .905 Calibre rifle created

Man!  That is one MEAN SOB! I wonder what the tactical range of something like that would be.

    USN Zumwalt Launched

That is a really odd-looking ship.  It's amazing what progress produces, ne?

    Fates of former armouries

I would suspect "A" Company of the Lanark and Renfrew Scottish Regiment; they were shifted from Renfrew to Pembroke in 1970 according to The Canadian Militia.

USN Admiral returns WW2-era IJA flag to Japan

A big BZ to RADM Caldwell for doing something like that.  A flag of that nature deserves to be in the hands of the original owner's relatives or a shrine.  :salute:

National identity, how do you identify?

To non-Canadians, I'm Canadian. To Canadians, I'm an Ontarian. To Ontarians, I'm a Wellander. 'Nuff said.

Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, Has Baby Boy

So he would King Alexander I and IV, using the Wikipedia format of identifying numerical designations for both England and Scotland. *nods*  Nice.

Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, Has Baby Boy

Now, if the baby's grandfather doesn't become King George VII (as some have hinted he might do), this child may be the next King George or the first King Alexander or King Louis.

Yeah, I saw this website.  Didn't really help in what I was looking for, though.  Thanks again.

Battle Honours for HMCS la Hulloise

Thanks very much, Pat.  It is very appreciated. BTW, much that I don't want to impinge further, but do you have the listing for H.M.C. Ships Prestonian (K662/FFE-307) and Baffin (T275) as well?  I don't need the ship's crest for Prestonian, but the battle honours for both ships would be...

Battle Honours for HMCS la Hulloise

Yes, I'm aware of this website; it actually helps out in my writing when I involve units of the CAF past and present.  And yes, I'm also waiting for the website to bring out links to older ships that have been decommissioned . . . but given the mass revamp of the whole DND website, that won't...

Battle Honours for HMCS la Hulloise

For those Naval history buffs out there, a question:  What were the battle honours won by HMCS la Hulloise (pendant K668, later FFE-305)?  I've looked everywhere on the Net and can't find a thing. Thanks again!

    Naval Ensign

Damn!  Called it right! Then again, it is a simple thing to do with next to no cost at all to the taxpayers. Except for when they have to make the big war ensigns ships love to fly when they're at seas; the types that could drape over half the flight deck of a Halifax-class ship.

A sad day indeed.  We've been losing a lot of good people this last while, haven't we? Hope you can finally pass on that letter to Dr. Freud, Sid!  :salute:
