Mike,
Love the site, hate the variations in speed. I wrote a nice note which I hope to replicate but the system timed out and I lost it. Two questions for you on site speed.
One - I for one and it appears many others remain logged on 24/7 even if we are not actually at the keyboard. Does that...
It seems what you are looking for is information to see if you MIGHT qualify for a recruiting allowance (RA). Some Electronics Diplomas may allow a training savings that is passed on to the applicant. Usually also means a reduction in training time so you get into the system quicker and maybe...
secup,
Make sure you bring your course report from your your INF DP1. That should show how many PO's you have completed against your SQ. It will make the PLAR a little quicker.

The local recruiter at the armoury will very likely not be of any help, if they are even still employed there. There have been cutbacks in recruiting at reserve units. Call the Centre reception number and if that doesn't work call the generic 1-800 number and ask them to redirect your call. ...

MP applicants MUST have a full unrestricted drives licence plus provide a drivers abstract for review. MP's (NCM Reg F) are required to have completed a police foundations or law and security college diploma (The recruiting center will have a list of acceptable courses) The process to get merit...
ROTP is a national selection done by CFRG with input from the Military Colleges. It matters not where you apply from in this great country of ours. You are up against all who meet the criteria and who get merit listed.
Your competitiveness was partially based on the high school transcripts you turned in with your application. Likely your Grade 11 marks right? Once you get your Grade 12 first semester marks take them into the recruiting centre and ask fro your score to be recalculated.
I suspect you were told...
ROTP / RETP are selected from the same merit list. If you don't get ROTP you might possibly switch to RETP however. There are far fewer RETP positions available. Also be aware that with RETP you pay for your schooling and seek employment with a Reserve unit to offset those costs. It is not just...
