I’m a big fan of the Finns having kicked out-of-proportion ass, but like UKR, doing way better than anyone would have guessed =/= didn’t take damage. How much of Canada would Canadians be willing to give up in that fight while being able to say, “we sure kicked their asses”?
Maybe not even that - or not just. I'm guessing the U.S. has all sorts of levers/tools to ... fine tune who can buy/sell VEN oil, who can ship it, whether it can be insured and who gets to get paid for it.
Don't need to run the place directly if you control where the oil goes, and doesn't, right?

Catholic media: can't call it "kidnapping" because there was SOME criminal document trail there, and we can't call it "arrest" because that would legitimize the whole process. Hang on, I've got an idea ...
More like between Thunder Bay and the Soo - more, specifically, Google “Nipigon bridge” for the exact spot. Interesting times the last time it was closed.

Eventually - once the infrastructure's fixed up at the VEN end (and I suspect that'll need a lotta work). Also, from what little I know, the AB oil is handy because it's supplying central-US plants, while the VEN oil would more likely end up hitting Gulf processing spots. I'd love to hear more...

Maybe "decapitate" would apply if the government of the day ends up collapsing? Or is it more "they ain't reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally the government"?
Meanwhile, that real Peace Prize winner Venezuelan woman has issued a statement (via CBS):
It ain't the facts, it's the narrative, for sure.
Yup. If Team Blue, a party usually more unafraid of taking broadly unpopular stances to save money than Team Red, didn't do it in Ontario, nor Team Orange (admittedly short tenure) based in those days on a bit of an anti-organized-religion vibe, it ain't ever going to be done.
Haven't found anything from today's adventures, but here's the info-machine's version from POTUS45 in 2020 ...
... with Maduro's indictment from the time & his "wanted poster" attached.
Well, then, I look forward to a quote from these fora showing a simultaneous “Trump bad, Maduro great” statement - or do you mean “they say” or “those people“?
