According to the OED, "click" has the same etymological origin as "clique" from the French verb "cliquer".
But comparing "click" to "clique" in the OED, it seems that you're right George in saying that "clique" is the better word to use in this case. I'll make sure to consult my OED before...
I was told on Nov. 23rd that the pilot trade was currently closed until April 2007. I'm a DEO applicant, so you CEOTP applicants might have a harder time at getting in than myself.
According to CFRC Toronto, the pilot trade is closed until the next fiscal year (April 2007). If you have a year's worth of university to obtain a degree, why not get it?
Yes. As Bond says: "Let me kill the B!tch for you."
Out of all the Bond movies, this one was my favourite. Hopefully the Bond series can recover after Pierce Brosnan. Hoping to see more good films in the future...
I attended Promise Keepers (a Christian men's convention) and they held a Remembrance day service with over 6,000 men in attendance. ALL of them cheered for the people who have and are serving in the CF.
After that, I visited a friend who is dying of cancer. It was a hard visit because he was...
When I saw them in Toronto, there were two shaggy old guys with over-grown white beards and woman with grey wiry hair that resembled Medusa herself. It seemed that they also protest against cutting hair and bathing.
At the CF booth, there was a group of clean, well kept women and men that were...
>:D Yes... it's always next week. I was told "just wait a week or two" many times. >:D
Anyways, I hope your application rolls smoother than mine, ThatsLife. Good luck!
What are "cources"?
Anyways, I was an enlisted medic in the reserves during high school, and I never took Biology beyond grade 9. When I joined, the recruiters offered me the job based on how well I did on my CFAT. No one mentioned anything about me not meeting prerequisites.
When I wrote the CFAT in Grade 11, 60 applied and only 33% of us passed. Only two of us had high enough scores for Med. Assistant.
The CFAT isn’t a cake-walk. Grade 11 Physics and Grade 12 Calculus served me well on the test. If you only have grade 10, I don’t know what to say other than good...
I think I'm in the same boat as you, so I might be able to help you if you can answer me one question:
Did you officially graduate with a 3-year Bachelor's degree, or did you upgrade your studies to Hons. Bachelor's to wait to graduate with a 4-year degree?
I'm a DEO and my previous service check came through, but my CFRC is still waiting for my past medical documents. Is it normal to wait a year before doing the interview or medical?
P.S.: I did a search. If I missed a good post, please let me know.
George does have a good point. A bit of care should be put in your posts. However, the odd mistake here and there should be acceptable, such as writing "writing" with two t's instead of one.
Drugs and the CF don't mix.
I clear the room whenever someones smoking ganja or other crap (it happens a lot in downtown Toronto). I don't want my medical to show "positive" on anything drug-related. If you want to joining the CF, you should avoid using drugs use... no ifs and or buts.
