Scary black guns for legal sale.

Depends. I'd heard really bad things about their quality control a long time ago. But I picked up the HP9-1, the 14-in barrel non-restricted 870 clone, for 300. OEM Remington parts actually fit, and I've had 0 issues with it. I've got a buddy who has one of their later gen Sig P226 clones, and...

    The Great Gun Control Debate

He did, but was aquitted as of Jan, however the Crown stated they would appeal. http://www.theccfblog.ca/2013/01/ian-thomson-acquitted-but-may-face.html As far as the High River firearms confiscation/storage for safety thing, I probably reacted too quickly as a gun owner to the poor...

    The Great Gun Control Debate

So I guess this is happening now; http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/alberta/Hell+Residents+angry+RCMP+sieze+guns+from+High+River+homes/8588851/story.html I know that personally, I'd be furious. If my home had been affected by the floods, I would have been forced to leave my restricteds here...

You sound like a guy complaining about someone coming in and stealing your thunder. This ain't a big R little r deal. This is about ******* helping the people who are affected. Or you know, you just tell my guys when they get on ground that they can turn around cus "You got this"

CF experience relevant to RCMP, civ policing? (merged)

You're looking at it wrong. The police will STILL have to give you their training. Because ours and theirs are NOT the same. Different aims. Will you develop skills and mentalities that may help you in a LE career, yes. But they won't look at your file and say "We won't need to train him in this...

    Chest Rig preference

No, I had the point. If you're told to wear issued gear in a certain manner, fine. When guys ask why, you can tell them "Because you've been ordered too." There it is. Guys don't do it, 129. Wether you agree with the original order doesn't matter. That's fine. My issue is with the token answer...

Army Communication & Information Systems Specialists (Sig Op, Lineman and LCIS Amalgamation)

Either or. Until Amalgamation of the 3 Army Signals trades (Sig Op, Lineman, and LCIS Tech) only LCIS received Spec Pay. After amalgamation, and the creation of the new Computer Weiner sub-trade (IST) there began a process for review spec pay (Will all get it, will some get it, will those who...

I really hate the "SISIP won't pay out" boogeyman. Guess if you got hurt by a rocket while wearing shorts and flip flops on KAF, you'd be hooped according to some.

I really like the safariland holsters, but found that I didn't like having the leg shroud on long dismounted patrols, and I also didn't like having the holster directly on my belt, so I swapped out for to the UBL system. Keeps it low enough with good clearance for draw, and can be mounted on...

Jeffrey Deslisle-former RCN, convicted of spying

What I'm curious about, is why the CFNCIU wasn't involved ( I'm just assuming, but I can't remember any reference to it at all in anything I've seen on the Delisle affair). From reading their mandate, it seems to me like it would have been the obvious choice. Unless I'm missing something...

Primary Leadership Qualification Course (PLQ) Mega thread

Oh, I'm sure they do. The question is, do they care? As long as they're digital "section members" are putting all the checks in the required boxes. I wasn't a fan of the DL modules on certain lessons. Specifically the teaching and Range Safety portions. Hard to get a full grasp from a screen.

Primary Leadership Qualification Course (PLQ) Mega thread

The thing with the DL Big Brother threats, as long as you log on every day, complete your modules every day, take part in the daily discussion, and hand in your assignments, everything should be gravy. I very much doubt that the DS in Gagetown is logging in at 1850 to make sure that Cpl...
