Absolutely correct. I have never had a CO order me to remove the canadian flag from my OD combats that I bought, so I left it on. Had I received that order, I would have followed it immediately. (which is something that is missing from today's army cadets)

I havn't seen that in any CATO i've read. In fact, at Vernon, some cadets get issued OD combats with the flags on them.

In 2003 the staff cadets got a raise of $3 from 2002. And my T4 says NDHQ Mil Pay as the employer.

They had some for the Vernon CSMs, but apparently they looked like something you would get out of the rear end of a horse. Maybe the BC Army Cadet League plans on making them in the future? Or if you really wanted, maybe you could order some scrap cloth and make them yourself.

I believe now all you need to do is prove that you served the required time as a cadet, and completed the required courses. I had a copy of the cover of my cadet file that I attached to my application, which had my enrollment date/aging out date, as well as my summer courses, etc.

Only because exchanges like Germany are actually VERY physically demanding, and it is more important for a cadet to be fit than to be able to teach a classroom lecture.

Most likely since you're going to Vernon, I wil lassume you're spending the first night on the base. You will probably be put up in the Staff Cadet WO barracks, which are the only heated buildings. Each room comes equipped with 3 or 4 lockers.

Of course, can't forget those silly fitness requirements...

The only time a cadet in combats is going to be in the public eye would be to and/or from a weekend exercise. For my unit's FTXs, we sometimes meet at the armoury and then have parents carpool us (or get a DND vehicle) to the location. I have quite a few cadets who rely on the BC transit system...
