I hear people on these board talk about picking up this and that to add or modify their kit, can you really just put aside what is issued and carry whatever you want? where does CF draw the line on this?

Here's a crazy suggestion, what if everyone in the CF, or going into the CF were to take it upon themselves to recruit just 2 people each, think about it, the CFRC's would be so overwhelmed that the Liberals would have to send more $$ CF's way. I'm thinking of spreading the good word myself...

the reserve unit im joining says that ill be in PAT platoon till the BMQ starts in the summer, or whenever. surely they wont have us show up every week, knowing nothing to sit in a room with others doing and knowing nothing, what is a reserve PAT like? ......anyone?

while doing the courses in modules, what does a reserve combat engineer do, as the other trained guys are exercising? do the un-trained guys just watch or are there other duties involved for them? I've heard of PAT platoon, can someone explain that a bit...or alot. thanx

Thanx for the great info, I'm sure iI won't be the only one to benefit from it. I'll definetly try to get on that as soon as i can, fortunetly though I will probly do my courses on the weekends, but I figure Keeping the same routine all week can only make me stronger. Thanx again

any body doing, or done basic want to share what a daily routine, (ie. dress, exercise, inspection) might consist of, might be a good routine to be in pre-basic to make the transition a weee bit easier,
