    Iran Super Thread- Merged

I realized I'd forgotten about them after it was too late to edit the post. Traditionally, the Jolly Roger indicates a successful patrol, and accomplishments are indicated by stripes or other symbols being sewn on.

    Replacing the Subs

And why VW? Are they connected to TKMS? Is TKMS part of the VW Group? Or were they mentioned purely because they're German?

The Type 83 Destroyer is being developed as a replacement for the Type 45. No official details are available yet.

    Future Helicopters

The Sea Hawk would be a massive improvement over what we have now, and Black Hawks would be an excellent replacement for the Griffin. Future Helicopters

Our previous competition that selected the AW101 over the Sea Hawk. Being able to accommodate an additional crew station was a deciding factor. They do operate the Bell 412 Griffin, or at least did until recently, albeit in small numbers and it appears only in the SAR role. It's one of the...

    Future Helicopters

It's the perfect size for SAR, ASW and maritime general purpose. Maybe a bit big for tac hel, but smaller than the Chinook, although the British make it work in that role and they also have Griffins. No need. The hangar on the Type 26/River class was designed to hold two Merlins.

    Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

Maybe it would be prudent for the government to have a Pacific ribbon for the GCS/GSM/OSM, in the drawer and ready to go.

We could always just get AW101 for everything.

    Continental Defence Corvette

It's 117m, not 177. That's only 12m over the target length, which is likely not a hard limit. And ice strengthening increases the weight.

    Continental Defence Corvette

Finland's new corvette is basically a modern Halifax, with ice strengthening and VLS. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pohjanmaa-class_corvette

    Canada's tanks

So does the M109: the M992. I think this should be a two horse race between the K9/K10 and M109/M992, considering the similarities.
