I think RCN is holding off on further names to give corporate sponsors a chance to put their names on them. HMCS (Jolly?) Rogers, HMCS Weston or better HMCS Shoppers Drug Mart…
David Dunlop is just spitballing.on names and hull numbers. Only the first 3 hulls have been named. Note David’s 12th ship is Assiniboine. That is the name being given to the land test facility at Hartlen Point. The numbers he picked, I don’t believe have been used in the past.
Could the opposite work, since the big 3 are tied up with projects for at least ten years. What if big 3 yards supplied modules to say Heddle (Ontario) at St. Catherine’s drydock?

I think I’m missing something besides my mind. Sikorsky was awarded a contract that they (with DND help) f upped beyond imagination, Trump is screwing our country, LM is screwing us on the River class and we should reward them with another Helicopter contract.
I love your optimism, but Trump (hopefully) is gone in 3 years and the Canadian public is short on attention so things could change back to no mo money for CAF.
Just the pessimist in me says ’Revised fleet:
3 destroyers,
8 subs
2 AORs
6 Corvettes
6 AOPVs
Multi year contract includes 2 Foreign Military Sales:

I agree with you, but LM still posts on their site a 2010 brochure with RAMblk2 and ExLS is still shown on River illustrations. I’m not happy about Canada using ExLS until some other sucker proves it on their ships
I haven’t seen any images on RCN or LM sites showing RAM launcher. ExLS is still there, so one might assume LM is pushing ahead with RAM launched from ExLS.
