Everyone has heard about the Turks & Caicos joining Canada issue, right? Ok, time to get some more support behind this concept! There is a website called A Place in the Sun in support of this movement.
Visit the site. Read the info. Follow the advice it gives for lending your support...
Doesn't "four-coloured" mean that the CADPAT is composed of four different colours? As opposed to "four coloured", which would infer that there are four distinct CADPAT uniforms (4 environments).
Edit: From http://www.army.forces.gc.ca/lf/English/6_1_1.asp?FlashEnabled=1&id=33:
im pissed and ab00013, it is possible you are both talking about two different occupations. Perhaps not but, consider:
-With a recognized 2-year diploma in an appropriate subject matter you would be able to apply for MP (NCM).
- With a recognized 3- or 4-year degree in an appropriate subject...
Having a foreign degree is fine. I have an American degree and had no problems. However, my school is Regionally Accredited in the US, so that is why I had no problem.
Since AMU isn't RA in the US you might not be able to get the recognition. But, since it is DETC accredited, you might be...
nULL, sorry, the meaning didn't come across clearly. It could have been interpreted as either "the sailors died for nothing" or "locating the wrecks just for the sake of it (exploiting them)". I interpreted it as the former and you obviously meant the latter. My apologies for the comment I made.
Using Linux (not UNIX, which was already implemented in Iris) would have been a far better choice. I'm not privy to why of course, but there are several likely reasons that the Army chose to go with Windows platforms. A very likely and possibly the big decision tree choice is that the...
Why is it German property? It was sunk during a war in another nation's waters.
Not intended to be inflammatory here, this is a genuine question because I am completely ignorant of these types of rules/laws.
Thanks!
Ahh.. sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you did the treadmill thing for a CF-related reason. Fireman... fire service... good job and good stuff! :salute:
I found the step test to be much easier than actually running 2.4km. The tape/music really annoyed the hell out of me though! It actually made it more difficult to keep my timing on the steps. Ah well, I got through it.
scott1insh, what's this about you doing the V02 on the treadmill? Why...
Since the previous replies dealt mainly with your interest in pilot, I'll tell you my impressions for the other two occupations you applied for. I have recent experience in the application process. I applied under the DEO plan for AERE, CELE, and Sig O, in that order. Last month I received...
I know, I was just kidding.
Interesting thing about this. I already have Level II clearance because of my job. However, I apparently can't just re-assign that clearance to the CF (like I could if I quit this one and got a job at another company) once I swear-in (Aug 25th... counting down...
You are right. They don't interview anyone for Level II. I have Level II and it only took a couple months and no one I am acquainted with was contacted. Unless they are lying to me about it... :threat:
Before you drop off an application you must do an aptitude test? Can you clarify what you are talking about, please? Are you referring to the CFAT? Far as I know, you must submit your application prior to being booked in for a CFAT.
Karpovage, the problem with your plan is that you want to punish all Muslims in the world for the actions of the terrorists. Including the Muslims in your own armed forces! That is not the right course to take. CFL has it right when he said to kill the leaders and their families. Sure...
I have to agree with the other responders in this thread. Karpovage's "solution" would make matters far worse. I won't go into reasons as the other replies have outlined them already. Targeting places of religious significance would be a grievous error.
Karpovage, yes I'm aware of the reasons you mention. It's just that to me, they aren't really logical and are flawed. Any reason at all is reason enough for the terrorists. Just my infidel way of looking at things, I guess.
Well Karpovage, I agree with you. If these things are being carried out by the US (and the UK, as we know they aren't afraid to mix it up either) then it should be made public. Get that phrase of "you seriously don't want to mess with" them out there into the terrorists'--and anyone...
