    Nervous about being accepted.

In my opinion, the CFAT is actually more difficult for those who have been out of school for extended periods of time. Remember, most mid-20 or early-30 year olds haven't had to use much long division, or English punctuation skills.

BMQ changed to 10 weeks ?

Who cares? Everybody that will come here to ask how long BMQ is. There is a difference between 10 weeks and 14. Yes, this thread is based on allegation, but there's also a big difference between providing an answer of "yes" or "no" and providing a source, and not contributing at all to the...

    Cancelling Registration?

It's actually a very difficult process. First, you have to find a telephone. To make matters worse, you even have to find their contact number. You dial it in, press (1) for English, and (3) for a current application. Here's the trick - a lot of people miss it - you wait a few moments until...

    After you Sign?

My advice would be to choose the one you want to do, and pursue that. Right now, you're taking a spot away from somebody who actually wants the job that you don't.

    Unemployed during Recruiting

I'd suggest applying more. I don't know how you managed to live with no income for that long, but you did, so I'd just explain in which ways you improved yourself and your application during that time. And get a job, any job at all, to do you over until you may get accepted for the CF.

    Question Regarding Choices

You should put whatever trades you wish to apply for, because if pilot is not open this year/you don't qualify, they would close your application. If you have other trades, you would be able to continue with the process for one of the other trades you applied for.

Question About Musical Instruments On A Base

Most bases have music/band teams. Whether they have pianos or not, I haven't a clue. Your "choices" are trades, not elements.

    My recruitment story and problems

It really boils down to this: You have a choice. You choose to cut your hair and join the Canadian Forces. Or you choose not to, and don't. Everybody goes through the same process. Every single one of us. The reasons of your self esteem and such are essentially irrelevant to the Canadian...

Any reserve units in British Columbia?

The Canadian Forces website can help you find reserves units in BC. Even Google. Pretty much anything, really, could have been done prior to asking here.

Then you should probably consider contacting him and letting him know that he might expect a call from the CF.

Voluntary Occupational Transfer ( VOT )

I'm curious, why aren't you still an air traffic controller? You probably could/could have stayed there, made good money, and when the time comes, then join the CF.

__Another kid hoping for some advice__

If you're uninterested in military life, I suggest leaving your position to somebody that is interested in it.

    Fear of Heights

Fair enough, but I think it would also depend on the degree a person's fear. Some fear heights, but do it in the rare chance they may have to, but if the TS is anxious enough that s/he cannot do it effectively at all, then I would stand by my comment.

    Putting on weight

Also look into what your exercise consists of. If you're doing it right, as well as eating right, there's no reason why it wouldn't "work".

    Fear of Heights

Depends how high you're thinking. We did rapelling off of a building-like structure, and during the swim test we did an evac dive off a 6 meter diving board. I would also suggest against some combat arms trades until you can defeat that particular fear.

Interesting. I did not know that. Learn something new every day.

    Quick question about BMQ

Borden isn't a Reg BMQ training centre anymore?

    Trying again!

It sounds like the issue the CFRC has a problem with is the fact that you do have a history of negative psychological and/or biological circumstances that may cause depression, and the fact that you have been on medication multiple times suggests to them that they feel you may or may not succumb...

    Got a hard question

With that said, the CF Recruiting Centre will probably not even touch your enrollment until this issue is taken care of. They will likely process your application, but as far as enrolling you or offering you employment, they will wait until your legal requirements are met.
