They are in the middle of a war zone; if I was there, I would want my country to have the best fire power possible.  Canada isn't under any threat at the moment except terrorism.  If the USA were an enemy to us, I'm sure we would have top of the line equipment aswell.

What you could do is get in a car, start the odometer at 0, and drive for however long as you want;  And along the way, mark off distances there.

Naval Electronics Tech!  I'm going to the Maritime Institute in Nfld for a couple years to get a diploma, and then they'll make me LS and I should be able to get on ship after that.

It may be best to ask your question about your SQ course to other NCM's or officers at your unit.  But for the reserves, in order to be an officer, I'm pretty sure you must already have a degree or in the process of getting one.

Personnally, I don't think your workout routine will matter that much.  As long as you were doing something to stay fit should be fine.  If you passed your fitness test with flying colours, then you should be good to go.

If you are worried about school so much, then it may not be in the best interest to join the reserves just yet.  If your marks are fine and in the A/B range, then go for it, but if not, it may be best to just focus on school right now.  If you decide to join the reserves and then start failing...
