Indirect Fires Modernization Project - C3/M777 Replacement

I think that is an unfortunate fiction that many seem to have acquired. Personnel still need to seize and hold ground -- that has not changed since the time man first picked up a rock. Again I think you are simplifying the equation - instead of looking at what the situations look like outside...

Indirect Fires Modernization Project - C3/M777 Replacement

110% The ARNG isn't anymore competent than the CA PRes, there is just funding and a will to do it.

Not to mention that SK isn't exactly a safe zone if something kicks off -- this would provide a safe zone production (unless you buy in the Big 51 insanity)

    CAF Procurement

I think one could argue the same for the US, UK etc Militaries. One thing a lot of civilians tend to ignore in their concept of a Military procurement system is that the countries future can very well be riding on the choices that are made to equip/provision, sustain and train a Military. To...

    Canada's tanks

Fair, I have concerns with any sort of fixed Div Recce concept - as I am less and less convinced that any manned systems should be moving when the enemy has been probed fully and blinded by automated and electronic systems. I think that one needs some heavy metal to support lighter recce...

    Canada's tanks

Unless you all of sudden need that screen to pivot into something else. I really want someone to explain to me what a "Med Cav Regiment" is, and why it ,makes any sense in this day and age. Given the way that the RCAC has approached so many things since the 70's my faith in them is at an all...

Indirect Fires Modernization Project - C3/M777 Replacement

I’d like to remind the 105 fans that one reason Ukraine likes them is there is a fairly large stockpile of ammo as most of NATO has reduce the 105mm to very niche roles. It isn’t a practical front line gun at this point - regardless of mounted or towed.

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

I’m pretty much convinced that by the time GCAP is viable Canada will have decided that defense isn’t a priority and the ‘interim’ AC will rust out. Regardless what that platform is.

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

Uhm you keep making two mistakes. 1) F-35 can carry external stores, just at a massive hit to the stealth. Which of intercepting long range missiles, currently isn’t an issue. 2) The F-35 sensor aspect means it can relay data to other intercept methods - stay unobserved - 3 There is...

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

Sorry I am still laughing at this thread several pages ago that some article suggested that an aircraft was better than the F-22 for air combat.

Defending Canada from American Military aggression

When you start your argument with just hollow assumptions, the rest is just garbage flowing from a sewer. Yes just America on that  Yes America failed there — so did the UK, and well Russia… Canada ate its eggs long before thinking about a basket.

    2025 U.S. - Venezuela conflict

Posse Comitatus Act is strictly a domestic restriction. FBI, ATF etc are commonly used with SOTF personnel when the target is a LE Interest - but the potential threat level or other NLI require SMU forces.
